Hi :)

i have still yet to blow a rock up outside of beta i think. its not that i dont want to but i have a real issue spotting them. for the longest of times it was broken in VR as well... i think it may be fixed now.

Most of the older 'bugs' are not present now...(famous last words 😬).
Asteroids follow the normal kind of procedure now, pulse scan, pick the brightest ones that outshine the rest*. use displacement missiles for subsurface deposits before using seismic launcher. You can also laser other main asteroid stuff that shows up on initial scan but they tend to be sparse before asteroid shows up as depleted quite quickly, compared to the usual laser mining materials for a 'standard' asteroid. In short, use your laser, displacement and surface abrasion blaster first, then go for the deep core stuffs.

*Usually a 'pear shape'. The not so bright irregular ones can still sometimes produce some useful materials in the form of sub surface and surface materials / metals, as well as the overall materials showing within the initial prospector scan results....hope this helps. :)

Edit......back on topic...
If it's going to be a dedicated mining ship I personally think it needs a generous amount of hardpoints to encompass All the mining tools, plus a couple of extra slots for some type of defensive weapons. A 'reasonable' cargo capacity (500t?) and a larger refinery without skimping on cargo, and once again  ...an MB4 planet auto mining machine! 🤪

Jack :)

Medium ship doesn't put it immediately on my 'to buy' list, but we'll get more information about its ful capabilities later.
The only indicative thing I picked up was that this was the 'little' one compared to the Type-8. (I did get that the right way around?)
That would suggest that it's going to carry less cargo than a Type 8, which makes sense, but does limit its potential for long mining sessions.
