More than 26000 contributors to the CG

While it's a huge number we don't know if it's 1 Cmdr with 26k alts...or 26k Cmdrs using a single account.
I know some of you have 4+ alts!

That said, it's nice to see a huge amount of Cmdrs participating.
I do hope cargo rack engineering becomes a thing, or these modules can be bought from a tech broker afterwards.
(I'm on holiday for 3 weeks) :ROFLMAO:

How odd, folk hauled more in their Cutters / T9's each, on average, than the average are doing in a CG being lambasted as P2W... Some forum members are not going to like that particular statistic!
The previous record holder was a very substantial outlier, though. Compared with normal previous trade CGs the average tonnage is almost doubled.

It'll be interesting to see what this looks like after a few more rounds of trade CGs, but it certainly seems right now that we can look forward to the next "haul lots of stuff" task having a much higher tonnage requirement than it would have previously.

(Interestingly, there is essentially no correlation between the number of participants and the average tonnage per participant - the CG can be a niche interest for a couple of thousand participants or it can attract over tens of thousands, but it seems to take a representative "slice" out of the population either way in terms of distribution of activity)

There's likely some psychology involved. Something along the lines of "I can transport more with this ship, therefore I need to do less trips"... and it ends up them indeed making less trips and, ironically, transporting less in total than with a smaller ship.
Also, importantly, the previous record CG for average participation only gave out the reward for top 75%, with no partial prize for top 100%, so there was more incentive at the low end to haul a small but "more than one trip" amount, which brings up the average tonnage. Only one of the others above 10,000 average had a "top 100%" reward at all, and that also had a "top 50%" reward.

As long as the next worthwhile hauling CG is outside of the 'buy for Arx' window, it will be interesting to see both participation numbers and average tonnage hauled.
This CG has a worthwhile 'reward' for any player who has a passing interest in hauling only because they can haul more in any ship the racks will fit into. If the next 'good' CG fills in the blanks with those type of rack, I'd expect a similar level of interest (or disinterest) to be shown.

I only participate in CGs where the reward is of interest to me (I hit the Tritium hauling CG hard with my alts - they all made enough to get FCs of thier own in that one!) as I did with the Colonia Bridge CG, from Colonia. If future CGs offer enticing benefits, even I may indulge to the minimum required to get the goods. Although if the CG following the release of the T-11 is a mining one, that I'll be skipping...

dont get why its surprising. game runs better than starfield even tho it dosent have a story. the game who made a "big comabeack" no mans sky is fun but runs worse than eltie and its more expensive...plus the fps combnat in no mans sky is bellow mid. while elite dosent have the story of starfield has better flying and more space contante them it . etc... btw no mans sky population is hte same as elites. so ,. meh game was never dead.

Progress has accelerated again the prediction has gone from 82% complete by the finish time to 100% five days early.
My fault, I just bought a kitty for my most junior alt and have moved a few units of CMM composites, need to get him up to trade elite, you understand. Went up 2 ranks with 2 loads! (He had 372 Arghs left in his pocket after the Kitty)

Would be interesting to know how many delivered more than say. 100 tons.

1 ton for like what, 100 mil or something...is going to inflate participation numbers in anything. Hard to compare this to what was required to get anything like that reward in previous cg's
