Geez, what's the point of telling people "UUUh i found an exploit, but i won't tell anyone...oh just a hint it's because of a new feature in Gamma".
Seeing another one did it in 2 hours until an orca, it can't be a feature in space, as docking and undocking would suck up too much time.
Possibilities then are few and it most probably is regarding the new starting options and ships given to KS-backers.

So either you keep your mouth shut and ticket it for the cause, or go and tell everyone for the fame!

He did ticket it, and this was originally in the bug reporting subforum...

The op also made a video about it...what is the point?
being the first to show an orca?
This and the timeframe just made the exploit accessible to all thinking about it for a second.

And the poster giving hints......why???

as i said, ticketing it is awesome...telling everybody is not.
or can you explain why this would be a good thing to do?

Not related to the money issue but how comes on your map you can see all of the jump routes ?, on mine its very limited and shows a few.

OP did everything right.

After finding the exploit he documented it, reported it and kept it to himself.

That is the only correct procedure...hat's off !

Good on you for finding this and ticketing it OP.

This is EXACTLY what testers should be doing. Any tester who finds a game breaking bug/exploit and tickets it deserves a gold star and a cookie.

100% agree, I don't get why the op is getting grief and why some people are so annoyed.

Because he did not keep it to himself.
he made a frickin' video and shared it on youtube, which gives you all the clues needed to know what the exploit is.
other than that, yes he did absolutely right.

The video shows nothing except travelling from point a to point b and I have not given any clues. The only people I have spoken to about it is people who have private messaged me telling me they know and how they have done it and frontier. The video was done to show that I am not talking a load of rubbish.

It show the most important clue...the game time and the amount of creds.
now with the video alone, you can do alot of guessing and maybe get the idea because you have a time and moneyframe and only few reasonable possibilities.
but taking into account your previous posts in other threads, it becomes obvious.
again except of the video you did an awesome job, i wouldn't have thoughtabout this possbiility actively.
And of course it is nit your fault when others stated it's about a new feature.

And by the time i believe most ppl already got the idea.

I (and others) have been asking the same, there is also no written policy in the EULA etc to deter from this... no guidelines, no rules, just speculation.

One of my largest concerns and knowing there is no offline mode means essentially, little escape from it, aside from the individual cheats, my fear are the ones that have larger effect overall.

Thanks for helping close exploits!
For every one we hear about that took advantage of an exploit you can bet there are many more who didn't say a word. Hopefully FD will be able to follow through on their concept of banishing exploiters to islands of their own.
Not that I'm suggesting they do it now. Finding the exploits is imperative to a good release. Selective wipes should be considered and easy enough to gain a list of.
