60odd systems explored and no cargo racks above 2 tons??

Had no problems finding bigger cargo bays. Found them all over the place. But ill be damned if i can find a better power plant for my hauler. I want to upgrade other systems but can't do it further until i get a better power plant. I'm already at 90%+ heat when i hit my FSD... can't run things hotter until that is sorted.

I bought an 8 ton rack for my hauler in the very first place I looked. Same place I bought the Hauler from in fact, inside of my starting system.

The upgrade randomization needs to be toned down a bit.

Agree on the randomisation thing. Would be cool if the outfitters who provided the rarer modules advertised them in other systems in game...so attentive players could glean an idea of where to look at least.

Finally found a high tech system near me, got nicely upgraded power plant and everything else.... now back to saving money up again >.<

make sure you are not trying to upgrade a level 1 slot, it can only support a 2 cargo hold I think. The outfitter will only show upgrades that fit that slot size and type.
I have seen loads of 4 slot cargo upgrades and even some 8's. Considered buying an 8 but would mean running without shields on my Eagle so no go
.
same goes for all slots

same sort of problem here been to about 150 systems cant find a detailed surface scanner and more importantly i cant find a fuel scoop, how the hell am i supposed to explore without them?. Only started playing gamma today and today is the first time i actually got irritated to the point of walking away in disgust.

Ignore me i should know by now not to play games when i am tired completly missed the new tab on the top that says "internal" time for some sleep me thinks :)

Look for systems which specifically have "high tech system" in their description. They are fairly rare, but they have lots of stuff.

I'm pretty sure ED does not have a supply and demand model. We tested it one night on team speak. I took a module to a system which had none. Sold it. It was not available for the other player to buy.

Except you can't see everybody that is there. Maybe it got bought immediately by somebody else or by an NPC. Pretty sure there is some kind of supply/demand model as you can see prices and demand drop when you offload several Lakon 9's full of a particular item. There is a lag on this though, and I've never known whether it is just a pure time-based supply/demand evaluation tick that happens regularly, or thresholds that need satisfying before the change occurs. There are also wider back-story simulation developments that can change the economics of trade too. It's certainly not an immediate trade model, like EvE, I agree, but who's to know that your module didn't go into some wharehouse for checking/reconditioning before being released onto the market by the outfitters with the next batch of modules?

I think you might need a larger sample size than selling just one item, and also there may be delays coded into the overall simulation... or, of course, you could be right with regards to ship modules... maybe some places just spawn more modules than others, and maybe some spawn a specific range of modules (and all that spawning could be randomized to some degree). As I type this, I feel I'm agreeing with you more than disagreeing. It probably is just a spawning mechanic.
