Why can't I access the Single Player tutorials which were announce at the premier????

Elite: Dangerous Premier Event Sees Launch of Gamma, iOS app and single-player combat tutorials announced.!"

After watching the Elite Dangerous Premier Event live steam on you tube, I went and bought the Mercenary edition per-order. But i only did that because
during the live stream David said....

"We also announced that single player combat tutorials will be available to download immediately from Wednesday 26 November 2014 for those who have pre-ordered the game".

This is copied straight from Frontiers own news section of their website!!!!

I am not able to download anything though!

Is it true that all pre-orders get this limited access now???

If not then they really should choose their words a little more carefully.

I suppose you've got a pretty good point.

They probably run on UK time. Unfortunately i do to :(, and its a very strange form of UK time where im awake at 6am waiting for Elite to drop haha.

Just hope they're not planning to make another patch release which adds this feature - if that is the case it could be evening (or later). Its also possible that you are unlucky and the store is mis-configured for your account.

I have the game preordered as well and can't download anything. I'm assuming they'll send out an email to everyone who's preordered with the download is possible.

My only concern is that on my account order history it says the Mercenary Edition is "Preorder - processing", though I assume it's only processing because the game hasn't actually been released yet so the preorder can still be cancelled or something. I ordered on the 5th, so hopefully it's not gonna take them 20 days to process my preorder lol.

As per the store FAQ, you're right, it's been processed, but since the game is not yet released, you're still on Preorder - processing:

Processing Pre-Order: This means that your order been paid for and invoiced, but that the product ordered is not available for delivery yet (such as a build of the game that is not yet ready for release).

We should keep in mind that they are/will probably rolling out accesses chunk by chunk to avoid stressing the servers too much. That's what seemed to have happened for KS backers.
Just wait and hope to be in the first chunks!

I noticed a trend on these forums, one i like every one to take notice on.

When a thread starts with a whine or a moan, check the joining date of that person on the forum. Like this person who joined today and who created this thread (their first thread and 0 posts). She/he didn't ask in a friendly manner to query on the forums to what was the most likely time the tutorials will be available on Wednesday 26 November 2014, this person immediately leapt in to a whine and a moan. If He/she did ask, we would of replied, "no time was given just sometime on Wednesday".

So far i have caught six people doing this in the last 48hrs.:) It's called trolling.

I fail to see how it can be considered as trolling when the original poster agrees with the very first suggestion that it is likely too early in the day to expect the download. A troll would refuse any logical argument in order to keep the topic going.

The fact that the original poster registered purely to ask this question is irrelevant.

I agree but think you missed Fyrd Judges very good point. Sometimes its not what you say but the way you say it. A first post is normally a friendly hello / polite question - this OPs first post had 5 exclamation marks, 7 question marks (for two queries) and a telling off for FD. Welcome to the forum

Hello I am new here! A proud and impatient preordered Mercenary owner. To act as a troll or not in this matter is beyond the fact that we expect to fly those ships soon! I mean we all watched videos from the beta and get some knowledge of the game, but at this point we are like piloting students that begin to think It's been enough class stuff and that time has come to be in the cockpit... :) However, I agree this doesnt justify unpoliteness and clearly malicious trolling.

As a Mercenary game buyer, I simply expect that they will honour their promess and that they will be, uuhhh, no more big mistake of communications from them... Yes, I think the offline mode issue were messy bad communcation because I understand and accept perfectly that they skip it. I have bought or download also FTP games from many companies, and to build confidence towards the client is primarely important at the beginning. The respect you show to us as the beginning use to be a good indicator of what it would be at further devellopment steps.

Its already the afternoon in UK, just hope they didnt forget us or their statement. Have a good day all!
