This is a direct question to you the ED Frontier team,

Can we expect anything new on the 16th December or is the Gamma that we are playing now pretty much it until a later date ????????

Thats great news because it needs somthing more, don't get me wrong i love it but i'm worried that it won't sell well to the general public without extra content.
If it doesn't sell well then we will all lose out!

I've been personally a little weary with the lack of communication about features before the 16th, as what is on their website isn't in their release candidate / gamma version.

The real question for myself is, would I be more upset that I spent 75$ and didn't get what was advertised, or not really care about the money and just be upset because I thought something really cool was coming I could dig into and it didn't happen. I'm meaning it's future and years of expansions too, if sales are very low I expect a difficult road to achieve their goals.

Assuming that you have already purchased the game so information isn't going to change that and it certainly isn't going to effect what we will be playing in three weeks time
Just relax, sit back and we will see what we shall see.

According to recent posts by the community manager, they're keeping things secret for the sake of "excitement". If that means that the surprise is nill or nothing is apparently up to us to decide...

Well that is indeed somthing that needs to be included, a story that you can opt in or out of as and when you like similar to the X3 main story line.
Its not all thats needed but it will help some players, i just hope that any story you get involved in has some worthwhile rewards along the special equipment, ship, money or reputation lines.

The game is far from done. A feature freeze for the first release does not a ‘done’ game make. There'll be incremental content and feature additions. It's the benefit of having a modern online development model.

He also said all backers would have gamma access, that the game would release in March 2014, and that gamma would be feature complete when it still lacks most of what was promised.

I just wish they actually communicated on this. I still can't believe so much time was wasted on this offline problem, when it was announced at the same time that not all features would make it, and apparently no one cares about that nor does Frontier seems to communicate on this.

We still don't know what to expect for release, many are still expecting more features to magically appear out of nowhere, and all issues of the game to be solved, and if it doesn't, the disappointment is sure to be a lot bigger than that of the offline problem, because it concerns everyone, not just a small category like those people who argue on internet forums but can't play online.
