Relocating your fleet

So you start with a sidewinder and an eagle (but obviously can have more).

If you've travelled somewhere and want to set up a base of operations, how do you get you other ships to you? You could fly all the way back and swap, but that method will never actually relocate your fleet.

Do you have to sell your others remotely (assuming you can) and then rebuy where you are (which I assume would lose you money)?

They are introducing (probably at release) a mechanism where you can pay to have your other ship(s) flown to you. However, this is not instant. Oh and no, you cannot sell remotely afaik.

First time I have seen anyone saying that as if it is a confirmed feature. Lots of people have mentioned it as something that would make sense though.

I am only repeating what is in the DDA. But yes, it makes sense and I will be very surprised if there is no such mechanism.

OK a service to transfer makes sense. I wonder if there would be levels to that service (i.e. you pay more for a more guaranteed success) given your ship could be attacked enroute etc.

Hehe. Many of us have that feeling with several things in the DDA. And yet there is no word or indication we will see it anytime soon.

My advice would be not to hold you breath. Not even a champion free diver is likely to be able to hold their breath long enough for that
