Rare find, or commonplace?

I was out looking for trouble in my Eagle when I came across this: a bunch of wrecked ships, and a whole bunch of canisters of ancient artifacts. I grabbed as many as I could (6 is my maximum capacity on the Eagle) and snuck into port to offload them, where they fetched 2,500 a piece on the black market.

Is this a rare find, or is this kind of thing quite commonplace?

I found similar earlier today, 'rare artwork'. this is probably part of the USS overhaul that was mentioned.

Common, I have found a lot of them. Not worth that much either.

Not worth that much either.

Considering I'm not a very good player, and struggle to make more than a few thousand credits in an evening (which is fine by me; I'm happy playing at my own pace), 15,000 cr for picking up 6 pieces of cargo and dodging the feds is "that much" to me.

If I'd had a Lakon I might have made some significant money on it, but it'll be a long while before I have that sort of cash. I was sort of hoping the artifacts might have had some secret message in them, like what they find in Stargate, and I'd go on an interstellar adventure or something.
