Lots of unrecoverable connection failures... To me the game is currently unplayable.
(game has its own reserved and uninterfered ~50MBit connection, which is rock stable)

I also get the stuttering/crackling audio when a network instance is shifted or even when a new contact is reported (new player entering instance)

Bulletin board, Map and the other typical Network events have a very good chance of causing a network timeout/connection drop - although I also get them at random spots without any visible or induced network stress.

nice fixes

all i want now is:
- ship balancing
- group feature
- interdiction reduction
- Wanted adjustment

if you do half of that before the 16th it would be fantastic !

Fly safe Commanders !

Any fix coming for interdictions and illogical AI?

I have been interdicted and instantly attacked by far superior ships when having no cargo, no fines and no rep, basically at startup travelling one system to another. Interdictions are also too frequent, they should be a surprise exciting event not expected and just an added nuisance.

Even in anarchy systems we shouldn't expect to be attacked without warning for not only no reason but also for counterintuitive reasons where an aI ship will spend a small fortune trying to kill you for absolutely zero gain on their part.
I ticketed this last week but no update as yet.

Thanks.

Same, game is unplayable. Objects, suns or ships etc. move in 20mm to 30mm chunks around the screen. Lock ups that require ctrl + del to escape from.
Only thing on mine that doesn't have a problem is the sound.

Win7 Pro
ASRock Z97X Killer Motherboard Bios P1.70
Intel i7 4770k Haswell socket 1150 LGA
8Gb Dual DDR3 Memory
Nvidia GeForce 8600GT 340.52 I've tried rolling back to earlier drivers
All have bang up to date drivers etc.
X52 pro
Avast is set to gaming mode
Firewall set to allow elitedangerous32.exe, both local and public.

Internet connection 16mb down and 1mb up 30ms ping

Very frustrating. Ticket in.

The Supercruise hang on object approach still prevails, as does the hang on exit if you have been playing for a decent amount of time ( if you just fire the game up do one run to a new system and quit in station it's fine, do more than 4 and it will hang on exit.)

Even with the slight hang I love that new station zoom effect! The holy grail could be a representation of the station while in SC and have it meld neatly into normal space once you exit. That would be phenomenal!

While all this technical info is great, please also update us on gameplay features which have been changed in the patches.

Thanks

Thank you for these fixes, but could you guys please fix the stuck audio loop? When flying a Sidewinder, Eagle, or Hauler (other ships not tested); if either of those ships have the Standard Docking Computer installed, after completing an automatic landing - one out of 3 landings will have the alert sound stuck in a loop. This continues on in the hangar until you depart and enter super cruise. The only way to stop the loop is by saving the game, returning to main menu and loading the save. This happens nearly everytime when auto-docking at Dalton Gateway in LHS 3447 and any other system for that matter. The loop does not occur if the Standard Docking Computer is not installed. There is a ticket logged.

Need a fix for 0 cr value of upgraded starter ship (ticketed) and loss of mouse control when retrieving stored ship in Shipyard (ticketed).

1.03 is running quite smooth tho, kudos to the excellent dev team :)

I like how it now shows an icon next to systems on the Galaxy map, and starports on the system map, indicating destinations for missions picked in the bulletin board.

Does this make the game crash?

If not then it's probably not that high up on the list of priorities. ;)

I relation to the Audio, they should have left it how it was in Beta 3.05, they fiddled with something that did not need touching and consequently messed up the Audio so it needs reverting.
.
They added Volume Slider for ship voice which does not work properly and was not needed in any case.
Even if it was, what is the point when the Effects Slider controls the voice as well, making the separate slider totally pointless.

In my opinion this is possible with the already implemented game mechanics. Instead of rendering the new direction within the island directly and having a shaking cockpit FD could use parts of the interdiction mechanics to perform a smooth transition between the current direction (when triggered the disengage) and the starting direction of the island. This transition gives us some time to prepare the instance and even if it takes some more time it feels not if the game is hanging.

It was bursty for me but I was done in about 30 seconds. Remember when we had to download the entire client each and every time? Thankfully that's ancient history now.
