I believe, as it stands now, you can pre-buy the game which gives you immediate access to the single-player tutorial and you will be in the Elite universe on the 16th, including access to the extra goodies in the Mercenary Edition.

The standard 'post release' version will be £4.99 more and not have the extra bonus stuff
The Mercenary Edition is the standard edition, except with a few bonuses you get for preordering. It was called standard before they added the preorder incentives. Expect it to be renamed to standard after launch, at the same price but without the preorder bonuses.
You will save money if you order now and also get some nice extras. Also you will be able to download the combat demo immediately.

Heck sell something on eBay if you have lots of items you never use anymore collecting dust. Even old cellphones, PDAs, classic IBM PCs can be sold at selective commercial websites. Trade it in for a game experience.

Might also want to consider some Pins and T shirts. I've seen an Elite pin from the '80s go for $300.00 at auction. So in 30 years this stuff might be worth a fortune! Then again I still have an original 1st release Rubik's Cube sealed in the package which never improved in value as they still make the things.

Bloodlines is the single best first person vampire action/rpg ever made.
I've put together just enough cash to get the pre-order Mercenary bundle (I hope). Does anyone know exactly how much it is in American currency? Thanks!
