This. I was thinking this earlier. It's okay the way it is now but this would be a much better option than just straight nerfing it. I don't think any of the naysayers would have a problem with it, and I like the idea of having to work for good routes.
"Naysayers"? Oldest ad hominem in the book?
So am I supposed to call you... what... how does one call anyone who ignores balancing in a game because he likes that what he does is the most profitable / powerful etc.? One who likes the easy way to advance in a game?
You are the naysayers that do not want a good future for any others, if you dont admit that rare trading is way overpowered.
- 300k / hour: exploring.
- 500k / hour: bounty hunting
- 800k / hour: mining
Trading is already way better than everything. Because it scales with cargo size.
It's about
6000 Cr. / ton at an average route, 15000 cr./ ton on an excellent route.
So a Lakon 6 with 100 tons can already make twice as much as any other career.
But hey, lets just have something where one can make a guaranteed 45.000 Credits / ton. So every hauler earns more than every combat ship, exploring ship, mining ship.
So a Python "needs something to pay the insurance"? And this is supposed to be rare trading?
I fully expect the payout for this to be cut by a factor of 4 by Tuesday evening. Having a profession that isnt even tied to the galactic background simulation pay 15 times more than exploring is just wrong.
