(FPS-DLC)What would you like to see when walking around inside different spacestation

Galactic Bank of Zaonce - A large walk in bank that enables players to transfer credits to different accounts. Banks allow for a Fleet/Group account to be created. Faction benefits are also available for those with acceptable rep. Benefits Include: faction based loans.

Casino's would be the heart & soul of entertainment inside the larger stations. When your tired of racking up credits & ready to spend some on fun, casinos are where you will want to go. (Think of casinos as a giant arcade with a bunch of mini-games inside). The tech level of the Casinos/ Weapons Dealer/Stores..ect will depend on the Tech level (Size) of the space station you are currently in. A new casino policy has been implemented: Why Big Game hunt exotic creatures for little to no profit, When we will pay you twice to ten times as much for your caputed exotic creature depending on how rare the species is.

Grand/Tech Lvl Legal Casinos - Exotic Creature Races, Non-lethal Player Vs Player arena, Roulette, Slots, Black Jack (21), Craps, Poker

Mid/Tech Lvl Legal Casinos - Roulette, Slots, Black Jack (21), Craps, Poker

Low/Tech Lvl Legal Casinos - Slots

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grand/Tech Lvl IlLegal Casinos - Dangerous Exotic Creature Races, Exotic Creature Vs Creature arena. Lethal Player Vs Player arena, Roulette, Slots, Black Jack (21), Craps, Poker.

Mid/Tech Lvl IlLegal Casinos - Black Jack (21), Craps, Poker, Lethal Player Vs Player arena

Low/Tech Lvl IlLegal Casinos - Craps, Lethal Player Vs Player arena

Shops - Weapons Dealer, Clothing Shop, Barber shop, Ship outfitting, Drone factory.

Underground - Through long corridors, deep in the bowels of the station, poverty stricken slums with little to no light. This is where the Black market traders can be found.

Military Armory - Faction based Weapons/ Gear.

Scrap yard - Selling salvaged Scrap/Parts from ships at varied prices.

Meeting areas- Bars: Bars would always be full of Pirates/ Occasionally once in awhile you can spot Brave Bounty hunters lurking in the bar trying to catch the biggest bounty. (Bars: NPC with missions, bars would have more illegal pirate type missions)

Parks: Home to the peaceful players. ( Parks would have more legal passenger/escort. Missions Etc...

Faction Embassy - according to the system juristiction (military missions aquired from these they would also give faction rep.)

Trading Commision - pick up trading and cargo missions, Also commodity market will be found here. Reporting trade runs to the trading commision for credits, like system scanning.

Gun Range/Combat Simulator - Somewhere to test your weapons. (Test your fps skills/boarding skills)

Universal Institution Of Cartography - This is where you will find explorers Selling/Updating system information to the public known galaxy map.

I hope the game developers implement this idea on the upcoming DLC's. This would definitely make the game more interactive amongst the players and will also expand different ways to accrue move income in the game.

All this sounds just great, I can see a lot of credits being won and lost at the poker tables lol, it will be awesome.

GALNET NEWS:

Tonight at the galaxy poker championships held at The Elvis Presley Casino in the SOL system Commander LuckyLuke won a grand prize of
1 billion credits ,this is also the highest ever amount recorded to have been won in a single hand of poker.

A bar where you would socialize with other commanders (a.k.a. the place you would hang out when you are looking for a group), and find shady missions that are unavailable on the bulletin board.

It think would be so awesome to actually need get out of your ship in order to outfit your ship/buy another one!

Neat, here's an issue I have some RL experience with. Cool places pilots hang out:

"The Ramp": The business end of the airport, this is where aircraft are being fueled and loaded. I could see this replacing the current outfitting screen.

Terminal areas: Filled with a variety of shops, restaurants, and organizational booths, you can pretty find whatever you want here.

Pilot lounges: Small, tucked away areas for pilots to get some privacy. It might be neat to give wings the option to rent their own privately instanced lounge.

Chart rooms: Used for planning navigation, chart rooms have maps plastered on every wall and banks of computers to file flight plans. While in RL they're slowly going out of style with the advent of the internet, in ED a holographic version for long range planning would be very useful.

Airport bars: There's always one nearby, and often several. Hire less scrupulous wingmen, sell black market goods, or just shoot the breeze with your fellows.

What i think might be fun is bars. Many will never have anyone in, but around busy ports it could get busy.

Now, add in different jump suits or badges on your suits depending on your allegiance, and i could see some bar brawls starting. :D

Sounds to me like HighCommand is basically looking Babylon 5 with some extra spice in the casino. Frontier couldn't do themselves any harm by watching a few episodes as research when it comes to planning for the transition from ship to character focus.

Even if some of the ideas you put forward here are perhaps a little over the top there is certainly no harm in dreaming big, as long as it remains a dream and doesn't become an expectation ;)

The key thing for me will be variety. One would expect certain similarities between stations of the same type as far as layout is concerned but there are little things that can be done to break up that repetition. Simple things like variation in the positioning and style of planters, public seating benches, advertising kiosks, etc.

Here's a few random thoughts on what I would like to see:
  • I want to be able to get out of my ship and browse weapons and modules in a show room
  • I want to be able to duck into various faction offices to find out if any new missions are available for me
  • If I am interested in something a little less official then a chat to the barkeep at the local pub should be possible
  • Casinos or at least some kind of gambling is a must, in my opinion, and it would be of particular interest to me for the casino games to be social (i.e. PvP if other players happen to be around)
  • I would also like to be able to go into stores to buy personal items for my character such as clothing, weapons (if they are going to be necessary)
  • Barbers for changing hairstyles
  • Random encounters with agents of various factions attempting to recruit off-the-street so to speak, perhaps offering particularly lucrative missions on a low frequency
  • The option for all this to be done through a simple on-board interface similar to what we have now for those that aren't interested in this aspect of the game at all or for those that are just in a hurry at a given moment

I guess what I am saying is that I want a bit of Babylon 5 too :) The main point being that I will be disappointed if all we get is a tacked-on feeling ability to just get out and work around without any real purpose for doing so.

I like all of the ideas honestly. I think being able to trap wildlife from different planets and sell them/race them/fight them is a cool idea. Especially since people race and fight(unfortunately) animals in our world today. It wouldn't be a far stretch from our nature to evolve that practice into other planets wildlife. I also think casinos are a must. It would be a nice way to have a credit dump for those end game with tons of extra, as well as a chance for the up and comers to have a chance at hitting it big. I hope that some of these ideas get implemented if not all.

Personally I like transparent walkways around the station to allow us to see outside in real time watching the other ships go on about there business.

Plus meeting areas and firing test ranges sound like an awesome idea.

I don't quite know why, but somehow a casino would feel out of place to me in the Elite Dangerous universe.
However, some place to socialize might be nice, like a bar.

How about a second hand ships dealer (those ships would come with some existing wear and tear), where you can actually bargain?

A place to sell fitted ships would be great. The rarity of 'drops' is a feature i kind of like, when it comes to finding good kit. Those that manage to get something special should be allowed to benefit as a collector.

To be honest I'm not at all bothered about walking round stations
I just want to refuel buy ammo and go out blowing stuff up

I didn't fight in no war. Good luck to you though, Captain!"

Orbis space station - I want to walk/run through those rings. I think that will really bring home how big these stations actually are.

That would be great, buying stuff for own needs, run for coffee break in some fancy caffe, launch time and other non mission type jobs, observatory post with ingame stellar encyclopedia etc
