So I'm starting this evening's exploration trips.

- Went to Kachiri for:
kachiriginleaches - Kachiri
but did not find anything. Then noticed there is a System called Kachirigin. So I'm heading there now.
Kachirigin is empty as well. And according to station services, I'm the only commander visiting it in 24 hours. No wonder.

- Going to Kamorin
Kamorin is empty as well, no historic weapons.

- Going to Nkuna for "ngunamodernantiques"
Nkuna is empty, no modern antiques

- Going to Wulpa for "wulpahyperboresystems"
Wulpa is empty

- Going to Volkhabe for "volkhabbeedrones"
Volkhabe hasn't gotten a rare commodity.

Am I missing something? I brought Bast Snake Gin to Heike, and if I would sell it would be at a loss? So, not only distance counts, but where you sell it?

Looking for upgrades wasn't so bad lately and I had a nice personal favorite at Q1 Eridani that had all the good stuff. But really that Class A FSD was one run with the Lakon. I think I spent more time spending the money than earning the money. Ahhh... the comfort of buying a Sidewinder just to fly somewhere to buy a ship, so my Cobra doesnt end up away from Ethgreze.

Stopped rare trading now. No wipe, no need to hurry.

Me personally quite close. Have already kitted cobra and will have t6 in a system one jump from ethgreze.

BTW: where did you buy ASP, close to ethgreze I mean.
Upgrades I suppose in Q1 Eridani? Everything?

I went to another system, and even if the galactic average is 8650, the Bast Snake Gin only sells for 810 CR, less than the price I bought it for. What am I supposed to do with this full cargo hold? Is this a bug?

EDIT: I am 125 LY away from the purchase point.

I flew it 47 ly to Hecate and it sold for 1.340 flew some jumps further and it was at 3.xxx.
Maybe they balanced it more? Did you try another station get?

All trade runs I've did so far confirmed the known distance behaviour: 130 ly sweet spot and 140 to 160 ly almost max. selling price. Could you post some of the selling prices and distances? Perhaps we could find an explanation for this?

At 125-140 LY, it wasn't budging from 810 CR, at about 180 LY it was 17k.

EDIT: It was in a small outpost too.

My new rare goods distances spreadsheet is extensible. Just put the new system name at the bottom of column A and at the end of row 1, extend the formulae, and the distance grid will be populated. *Edit* Column A is now a formula that picks up the name from Row 1 so you only need to enter it at the top and then extend the formula - it auto-rearranges the rows as well if you re-order the columns.

Yes I did but I omitted to take the price. However, I think I made a dumb mistake, I was using distances from the Galaxy map, which seem to be *traveling* LY instead of straight line distance. Route planner tools gave me a distance of 100 LY (or so) between Bast and Heike, and the Galaxy Map says 125 LY, which would explain why I wasn't seeing the price I should have.

Anyway, that's my theory, I've just done Heike-CD 75 661, and got 18K per ton.
