Pretty sure you should be contacting the developers or community manager about that.
I don't see how it could be too late though, it's just a matter of adding a line of code adding the name in a tiny patch, so you should be fine.
But yeah, maybe contact someone like a community manager, I'm sure they could point you in the right direction on who to talk to.
