The New Launcher - Proposed Changes (pic within)

I'd like to see the current loads and server status' as it would:

1) Stop the plethora of threads asking if servers are down
2) Provide a direct channel for the devs to communicate any updates, planned maintenance etc.

Its a rush job, but you get the idea.

If you would like to see something like this in the launcher, leave a comment, if you wouldn't then still leave a comment.

What would you like to see in the launcher e.g. Galnet news, player bounties, twitter feeds etc....

Id like a dedicated server option for group play.
That way I can avoid the instance lottery and actually get to see and play with my group friends.

The dedicated server can still call home to get the updated info from Frontier

Great...server status is a good addition.

Though, I'd rather Ed just call me when the servers are back up. I'd really appreciate that. Thanks.

Hope this gets seen and considered by Fdevs.

Im trying to get some info from Ed about how to query the server so I can make a webpage with the server status on, something similar to http://steamstat.us/ but I dont want to use a query method that might cause unnecessicary traffic or contribute to server load.

looks better but the info box should be wider and the status box smaller imo.
Also Welcome should be our commander name rather than our e-mail.
And the click play button should be bottom middle.
But that's just my opinion.

I agree, that one window for paintjobs/merchendise should be enough.

And not that it's important but I also think it would feel more natural to have the 'Play' button on the right, instead of the left.

This should be implemented immediately. It is far more useful than adverts to buy t-shirts
