Rare Commodities List!

Can confirm orrerianviciousbrew is a NEW string since gamma2. I guess I can start anew making lists...

EDIT: can't play at the moment but I can look into files

I went back to the station to get a screen shot... and now it has disappeared! Although the servers have been acting funny tonight. Don't add it yet.

I was being offered 1200 ish for some Eranin Whisky about 100+ ly away with the galactic average being reported as 600ish. I thought WTH and looked about on the forums for the last 5 mins. just went back into the game and the price is back up it should be... Guess the markets are a bit more fluid now.

yup, Chi - Heike just worked, with around a 7-8 minute delay in updating - must be a bug - or a deliberate timer to slow down profiteering

I have the advanced discovery scanner, every system I pass I scan, I don't even stop, just the new bodies in system, when I get to my destination, sell the data and it covers the fuel costs.

Selling Eranin whiskey to Delta Phoenicis. Was showing a loss and thought the new patch had changed the pricing, went afk for a few minutes thinking what i would do next and how much loss i was going to pay. BOOM, prices were at 18k again

nice, that's exactly where I'm off to now..... well I was until my client crashed

Just sold 456t of Jaroua stuff at LHS 1197, near Chi Eridani, for normal prices if it helps. I don't even look at the price but highlight my stock and left/right button to see how much 1 will sell for so dont be put off by the main listing

btw - bulkhead prices seem to have quartered with g2.0 release

And good call on the fuel scoop. I sold a level 4 cargo container and replaced it with an A4 scoop. My refuelling speed has doubled and made that much less of a problem. And putting an 8t cargo where the old scoop had been has reduced the payload. And with the new route plannning the overall time spent in the galaxy map is very little so a couple of scoops at 300/s seems to work ok.

Just for kicks, what's you wear&tear repair cost at 100%? 333K on an asp, I can just imagine on the 9 :D

Wow, I got screwed hard by the nerf. I had a full cargo of Whisky I'd bought for 1600cr each. I'd traveled to Sol (43ly away) and it was only selling for 1900cr here. So I decided to wait to sell before I went farther away. I logged in today and the Whisky is selling for 1200cr now... fml. Once again the old adage is proven correct: exploit early, exploit often.

Ummm you gotta travel farther than 43LY, how about 200+LY to reach 16-18000cr prices

Guys I seriously think the rules have not changed. But what you are seeing is when the backend server handling markets is either crashing, overloaded or very slow to respond. It appears it then defaults to some other values (hence, selling at a loss, why?) and suddenly reverts when the true data comes through. I fully expect this to normalize once the server and patches stabilize for gamma2. I wouldn't draw conclusions too fast at this moment.

Well, started up at Andersson Station @41181...got 3 rare items in cargo from prior gamma 2. Prices are exactly the same as before....

Understand the problem now, and it is a problem not a nerf. Sold 448t t from Jaroua to Eridani - big profit. Sold Eradini to Jaroua - big profit. Returned jaroua to Eridani - potential big loss if I sold at the price they are offering. That may be someone at Frontier fiddling with the market, but it's not auto market behaviour. It's my guess that some code is a bit bugged. And if I hang around for a while I will be offered a spiffing price again.

Oh and while I'm waiting at Eridani I notice for the first time there is none of their lovely paste to buy.

EDIT - after posting the above I went back to the game and left the market. Then immediately re-entered and voila. I was being offered 16,000 profit/ton on my cargo and magically their Paste was well stocked. So try leaving the market and returning shortly after ftw

Ok heres some info which I hope you find interesting as you level up

My run for the last few days has been Chi Eridani (because there is no wait for supply) to Thrutis - distance 156 ly

Started in a fully upgraded 128t Asp over 10 jumps -

Chi Eridani
LHS 154a
LP 710-47
Tohil
Sheratan
NLTT 7941
Huiche
Elska
Bragpura
Chi Eridani

This has been worth approx 2 Mil cr/trip at about 15 - 20mins or 6 million /hour. Doing this in a lovely maneuverable Asp was a milk run because the jumps could be made quickly

I'm now in a half upgraded type-9 of 456t capacity, doing the same run, but it's taking about 40 minutes (due to the lower jump distance) from Chi with a profit of 7,200,000. And it's challenging to avoid damage which can cost hundreds of thousands. NPC intercepts happen more and if they catch you scooping it can be huge amounts of heat damage. Scooping is necessary to avoid very big fuel costs

Don't just imagine getting a type-9 is going to be pay day. To do useful stuff every important thing must be upgraded. Top engine, fsd, distributor, thrusters etc all cost 16,000,000 each and that doesn't include all the other stuff needed like upgraded cargo, scoop, defences, shield cell etc

I'm posting this so you can assess where you are going. And because filling the hold at Thrutis is really slow. I really need to find another route to a better supplied system than Thrutis. The stuff appears every 10-15 minutes and after 40 minutes I'm only 3/4 full so I have plenty of time to post this. Theres some balance for you

Thanks for sharing very helpful!!

Yes, It take like 5 mins for the server to catch up to u. But traveling 150LY still gives u the most profit.

FWIW, I saw this bug in gamma 1 as well, just not nearly so common. Waiting, re-docking, or flying to another station fixed it back then.
