Back to square one.. help enabling rift?

Hey guys,

I've been playing with DK2 for a long time now, and I had to switch back to monitor mode cause of the last patch breaking rift support.

Now I can't get it working again.

I changed to secondary monitor, 1080p, 75Hz but It shows split images in my rift.

So i exited and closed the config utility and OVRservice thing in the task manager and that didn't work either.
I'm in extended mode.

Any help out there?

Are you sure the stereo(3d) mode is set to oculus? What do you mean by "split images"?

I mean, like when I'm on the desktop, the rift displays half the desktop in each eye, rather than stereoscopic images.
I'll look and see about stereo 3d mode.. i didn't see that setting.

I had that happen to me with the new update. I reselected my monitor, applied, then selected the oculus, and applied. That fixed it.

Weird bug. Visually speaking, it's rendering a SBS image on the screen in the Rift.

Graphics menu, 9th option down
under the field of view slider

I'm not seeing the OR listed there. The only options are side by side and anaglyph.

Exit the game and turn on the rift, then reload.
ED doesn't seem to recognise the rift if it's not powered up at launch

I am having the exact same problem as OP. This did not help the issue

I had that issue in one of the betas. I had to switch the DK2 to direct mode, start the game, then the option was available, restarted the game in extended mode and I could select Oculus again.

Beware that the load time could be very long starting in direct mode. At first I thought the game had crashed.

have your got the newest 4.4 oculus drivers installed, and the newest firmware on your headset?

Make sure when you restart the game that you restart the launcher. You must have the DK2 on and in extended mode when you start the launcher or you will have issues when you get into the game. If you do this and you're still having issues try turning the DK2 back to direct mode. Check that the desk demo works OK, turn back to extended and start the launcher again.

I did all of these things yesterday and I got it working again
