The worst thing about the spinning ship issue is the lack of any communication from FD.

Or, you could just spend the same amount of time you did writing that to check the thread and see that they've posted about half a dozen times in it already with suggestions and tests.
 
The worst thing about the spinning ship issue is the lack of any communication from FD. So what happens, we all moan and complain, the thread gets longer and longer and we start think that FD are a bunch of amateurs. Come on guys a short message, "Sorry we messed up, looking into it" and then maybe closing the thread, and opening another locked status thread, would go along way to calming the rabble. For now you're just missing in action and we don't know what the hell is happening.

I don't know... They're possibly the most responsive dev's I've ever witnessed... I'm guessing they're attempting to figure this out.... (less than an hour after it appears) before going off half cocked on the forums... Just a thought.
 
Nice, however, I cannot load my save since Gamma 2.05 and I would raise a ticket if there was such an option. There is no more ticket button in the support section, WTH ?
 
I also had the spinning ship issue.
I tried the validate game files option and the game worked in open play. After that I saved the game and the other two modes worked as well.
Edit : The problem has just reappeared.

they have slowed down a lot BUT they are looking at it and were posting alot.

prob busy in troubleshooting and forgot to hit submit

Some how it starts multiple instances when i exited to the task center 3 of the games where running and i could not stop it

I've been reading this entire thread for the last 30min, and putting out random b.s. responses to fix the issue isn't worth anything. There's nothing about knowing there's a problem, just the usual service desk type auto-replies which helps no-one.

It's not like this hasn't happened before.

It would be much more professional when they communicate about actual issues in a closed thread. I don't want to read this whole thread to see if the devs posted something...
 
Another voice to confirm that Open Play is working fine for me, whereas Private Group and Solo still produce endlessly spinning ship. I'll take it :)

The point is this thread and issue is less than three hours old and has 24 dev posts in it. Saying they are MIA or unresponsive is just patently false.

Exactly, they need to step it up this close to launch. I don't mind problems, as long as they are dealt with and communication keeps me informed. No service is perfect.

You are kidding me right? They've posted twice asking people to try a couple solutions to help narrow down the issue, and I imagine are now using that extra data to work on a fix. Or would you rather the QA guy who was engaging the community regarding finding a solution spend his time personally responding to every forum post instead of fixing said issue?

Did you not see the New Support Site link on the top banner in the old Support Site ??
Go there and you can raise all the tickets you want :cool:
