Need lights indicator on the control panel

I can't tell if my lights are on or not. Cant see the ship and I have no display light to indicate their state.

It's on the functions panel of the right side panel.

OMG what more do you want on the front dash?!

All this indicator stuff was SUPPOSED to be in the side menus!

Stop wanting your hands held and use the side panels!!!!

You can even tell by the sounds it makes. Pitch goes up - it's on. Pitch goes down - it's off.

There wasn't even supposed to be a key binding for it, the landing gear or the cargo scoop. They are all accessible to turn on/off and show their status from the right side panel functions tab.

No everyonedoesn't.

Only a few that think every setting and option should be on the front dash.

They are the same people that have ruined the ui and cockpit dash by bleating and getting too much up there so that its a cramped mess.

Use the side panels.

Its what they are for.

did you switch your lights on after dropping out of SC? then they are on, if not they are off and if the functions panel was the last one you looked at your cursor will still be on the same tab and the same setting as where you left it.

it takes maybe a second to find out by looking at the panel, i'd rather take that second than clutter the dash anymore than it is.

Glad I don't have to consult the side panel every time I want to put the gear down or open the cargo bay, that's why they are listed on the dashboard.

try to enter SC with either down and you get a warning that you still have them deployed, not so with the lights as they switch themselves off when entering SC.

+1 for key bindings and indicators. Even though I use TrackIR, I do NOT want to use the side function panels to check status on things.

However, a nice compromise would be to allow varying displays to be toggled on/off in the options menus.

Everything has already been compromised so that it has key bindings.

It's only the lights that don't have a front dash indicator.

Nobody uses them properly anyway, and thanks to all the previous whining, there's no room left up front.

Map them to a physical switch, listen to the sounds, or use the side panel as it's supposed to be used.

There isn't a problem.

Honestly, we really don't need a cargo scoop indicator, either. The change to the left hand holo thingy shows that the scoop is down.

Good point, Satsuma. If they replaced the right-hand Cargo Scoop indicator with one for Lights then everyone wins; the people who want an indicator are happy and those who think the dashboard is already too cluttered are no more unhappy! :)

the only problem with that is that the change only shows up when you have cargo targeted.

Doesn't anybody think the front lights r too weaK?
Talking of lights, hasn't anybody notices there is no spotlight on the srv's turret, where there was supposed to b?
Or, did they add one after i got too disapointed of the flight system they burdened, this otherwhise "o.k." game with?
