Has anyone managed to sell Cartographic data twice?

Just wondered, I remember DBOBE saying you could sell the data to all three main factions..

I've not been able to, once it's gone is gone, luckily I sold it to the Independent Crowd

Anyone managed to sell twice or more? If so how?

Try selling it more than 20 lights from where you last sold it, not sure if this still works

It was never implemented as far as I'm aware. I've tried selling map data in an Alliance system, then again in Imp/Fed systems 10s-100s of ly away. No dice. People have just been too focused on the lack of offline mode, repair bills etc. to complain about it. When you sell UC data it's gone and that's that. You can't sell it to another faction.

Well, you actually can sell it twice, just not the way you think.

Sale 1: you only scan the position of planets and go back to station to sell data.
Sale 2: you go back to the same system, detail-scan all planets, then go back to station to sell detailed data.

That's what I've heard at least, didn't bother checking myself as I'm currently about 1000Ly from Sol

Maybe something that gets added later. I wouldn't worry too much about it though as there is plenty to scan out there!

I personally don't think it will get added as the way I see it you are selling data to the pilots guild (or whatever they are called) and they are the same no matter which faction they are in.

There's that, Interstellar Cartographics seems to be monopolistic in ED AD3000

Yeah no dice here, once it's gone it gone. Going back to re-scan is pointless, you get 520 (ish) for finding a star and another 520(ish) for scanning it, so it's best to do it all in one go. More for planets with metal in of course!

The actual figures, for bog-standard systems with no planets, are:
~200 cr per star for discovery data. ~600 cr per star for discovery + basic scan, ~1200 cr per star for discovery + basic scan + detailed surface scan.

This was true in earlier gamma versions, but has now been fixed, there is no need to sell discovery data then return and scan.
