Do you have the Log directory set properly to the Logs directory in the ED program directory?
And have you added VerboseLogging="1" to the AppConfig.xml in the ED program directory under the "<Network" line?
done aaaaand still nothing.

Yeah - I'm trying to catch it. It's one of the threads misbehaving and locking the table. Just restart the BPC and it'll be fine. I'll have it resolved for the next release.

You get me to do it, which I've just done. Go to options, clear your db, then force an update, and they'll be gone.
Oh right, it wasn't doing that before.
Also I want to update places I'm not at because I have information of places I'm not at![]()
I understand what you are saying about the knowledge of markets on earth being so transparent. Supposedly the governments choose to control the information for there own purposes and additional income. Regardless, you could say this is blackmarket data. I don't care if you have a magic +5 laser; I'm just saying it is not necessarily more fun to use the easy way. To each his own I guess.
just wanted to say thanks for the all the hard work Slopey. been using it since beta and made the game way more enjoyable for me being i only get to play in short sessions here and there.![]()

That's not it - search your machine for FORC-FDEV*, that should come up with a directory, and in there should be the EliteDangerous.exe, the AppConfig.xml and the Logs folder - it's that logs folder that you want
Also this restriction has the effect of limiting the damage that a vandal can do.It's like that to coerce you into only entering current data. I don't want everyone entering last week's numbers they wrote down into the BPC today tbh, so that's why it locks it to your current station.
I did not look through all 11 pages of this thread so sorry if this has been asked before.
Is there a quick start guide on how to use this tool. I'm poking around but am not sure exactly what does what.
Is there a way you could implement a brake on the next version?? Something where you can input a range of returns? IE>..when i run a search i only want to see a certain range of numbers for profit, say ..only show me results over 100k round trip profit etc.
Right now when i run a decent search i get 2500 results lol...dont need to know all of them except the top 25.

Here is the quick start guide:
Download, install, start. Know your jump distance available (it's shown in the second tab of the galaxy map). Search for trades from your current, docked, system/station. Organise the results to top profit by clicking on the header of the profit column Limit the search to reasonable distance. If you want check for a round trip for max profit tick the box. Double check the price to buy in your system in game, noticing when the price was last updated in the tool. Whether the price is the same or different click on the update price button and fill the form in so you are sharing with others. Check the commodities tab and then the station you are considering jumping to for the time the price was last updated, and whether it makes sense ie. if the price is really different from previous prices be wary. Take a risk and buy a load, fly to the destination and see whether it works
same here - I think Slopey has done a cracking job here, for the community, peeps need to appreciate his efforts a bit more![]()
No more than having someone e-mail you a spreadsheet with the markets filled in by other helpful people. All this data is donated by traders and aggregated by Slopey's program which he maintains in his spare time. I'm surprised the pirates aren't using it to find the traders. We go where the money is.Is this cheating?
Read up a bit - it's covered in depth earlier in the topic. Or pop into the BPC chatroom and someone will help.
You need to add VerboseLogging="1" into your AppConfig.xml, then set the log directory correctly in the BPC *and* in EliteOCR - (Elite OCR queries should be done in EliteOCR's topic please).
Hi Slopey, I tried to pop into the chat room but I do not have or want java installed on my machine...
My main question was not about the location but about the import function which is not working for me!
I run EliteOCR on a screenshot (doesn't matter if horizontal or not) -> The csv file is created sucessfully and when I open it in WordPad it seems to be ok.
Now I start Slopeys Tool and try to import it, I select and open the file but nothing happens... There is not error message displayed but it simply does not work... The data from the csv file is not imported to the BPC window..
