Shifting internal components?

I’ve upgraded several systems on my Adder, but the only extra utility mount I’ve used is a 2t cargo rack.
I’ve now got this:

Shield Generators (Class 3, in a Class 3 slot)
Cargo Rack x4 (Class 2, in a Class 3 slot)
Cargo Rack x2 (Class 2, in a Class 2 Slot)
Cargo Rack x2 (Class 2, in a Class 2 Slot)
BDS (Class 1, in a Class 1 slot)

What I want to do is sell on of the cargo racks x2, and MOVE the cargo rack x4 into that slot, thus freeing up a Class 3 slot, probably for fuel scoop. Not sure yet.
I can then sell the other x2 cargo rack and put another x4 in

So… can you MOVE utility mounts, without selling them…?

Why not put a 8 slot cargo rack in and free up two 2 slots?

You can sell and then rebuy the item (it gets listed at the top)

Yes, select the item you want to move and then click 'Swap' and select the slot to move it to

However, you won't be able to move a class 3 module into a class 2 slot if that is what you were asking

Another quick question on this topic..

If you have a piece of kit on one ship you own and want to swap it to a new ship, is that also possible ??

I have a couple of nice high end modules now which I dont want to search around for again, so if you were to sell, then swap ships (at the same station), could you then buy back onto your new ship. I haven't tried this yet but didnt really want to take the risk in case I loose the Mod

The adder is just amazing.
up to 26 cargo slots possible. freaking awesome compared to the starting sidewinder of only 10 possible cargo slots.
Optimal config, imo.
Sidewinder: 6 slots
Adder: 22 slots

well, worth the 90k it cost to get it.

When you're wanting to do the component swapping, make sure the station has a good variety of components, otherwise some may vanish as mentioned above.
