glitchy slave mission

Got a mission to smuggle two slaves into a port for 50k ish

on my way to find said slaves, (had not yet bought them...nothing illegal in my hold) dropped into a USS and suddenly got a "MISSION UPDATED" flash on the screen

then a ship sent me three blank messages

next thing, some text flashes up very quickly saying something about abandoning the mission and being paid off to cancel...text happened too quickly for me to read properly. of course, i abandoned the mission to see what would happen.

nothing, no cash etc. no more messages from the ship contacting me

next thing, the feds turned up and started shooting....so i booted up the FSD and got out of there.




broken mission? anyone seen this before? should i raise a ticket about it?

I had this happen to me, but the messages were to deliver the slaves to another party (i.e. the rival faction) in exchange for a different reward. If you check the wording in your Transactions list, it should have two options for completing the mission.

ahhh. the comms were empty (3 blank messages) and the text that flashed up on the screen happened then disappeared so quickly all i saw was "we'll pay you to abandon"

Check your maps for little globe symbols. They tell you if you need to visit somewhere to finish or continue a mission/story.

i started the slave mission. They updated and told me I was being crazy, to abandon it, and collect half the reward. So I headed back to the station and got half.

the glitch is that you never got the message in your contracts screen, or did you, check?

same issue here.

picked up some slave mission to incresae my reputation. missions were updated to alt deliering with +/- 50k credits reward.
i don t want this alt solution credit so i came back with slaves cargo to original mission pickup location, and nothing available in contacts screen ... :|

very annoying.
