Help me find the nearest empire system to the core federal ones, I am in and around the area of Sol give or take 20 Ly away

Turn your map view to only show imperial systems(marked as red) and begin jumping to the nearest system, then jump further in. Head towards archean(sp?) In large letter which show on the galaxy map, that should shownyou imperial space

Use the right mousebutton on the galactic map, zoom a bit out, and go down with the faction colour filter on. Down is an important direction.

Below sol it's almost all imperial space.

Use the galactic map, search for Achenar. That's the Homebase. Just keep jumping 'down' from Sol until you hit Red

Liaedin is one of the ones closest to Sol.

Though really, wherever I am, is Imperial space, lol

I had a similar problem but I was much farther away. Try searching for LFT 78, might be quite close to sol. I'm on my way to imperial space

I think the Liaedin enclave is closest to Sol, but the border systems might be closer. Not sure.
I strongly suggest fitting a fuel scroop, if you haven't. It helps cut down travel times a lot. Usually I use the scooping time to look over and plan my route.
