Yeah, same here mate.
At first I thought it had crashed, because Task manager said it was not responding, and I forced closed it.
I then realized after loading that if I left it alone for a while it would start functioning by itself.
Same thing happens if select various options that have to collate a large amount of data.

I have to retake the "Add netlog=1"? question for each update. Which isn't a problem, but you should ask this question before the program goes off and consumes a Lakon-7 worth of CPU load, since the button won't react to my answer until it has done all its inner magic and stuff.
Ask first, calculate afterwards. Or have a thread for the gui of its own or something. Don't ask me to respond and then hang for 30 secs doing valuable stuffs without reacting to me actually answering the question.

I also have the problems of it downloading for a few minutes at start, with Auto update unticked. Now because it's failed, it's still trying to download. I have no commodities in the Add prices list they are blank too.
cant seem to get this version to run. data download fails will retry. Others were excellent.
Well yes i forgot to Enter System Name Correct ! now it works very smooth.

Hi All,
I've been hanging out in the Chat room, and have a new version which solves the downloading issue (with 500+ users, my IIS server falls over). I've added 4 more servers and I'm doing some rudimentary load balancing now.

I will double check my station names, but Frigaha is tough to misspell...i entered the station name in caps though in BPC, and now cant seem to enter it in lower case to fix it.
I decided to give this tool a try since I prefer longhaul trading. All the profits seem false, is this because some people are just entering bogus information? I'll do a 150LY trip, profits are displayed as 1 million, in reality I only get around 50000c. It would seem I'm better off sticking to my own trade routes.
Am I missing something?

There's sometimes incorrect data in there.
You can just run it locally, disable auto update, clear the database, and enter your own trusted data

v.4.1.1.0 is now available - get it from http://www.slopey.com/ED/BPC.exe
In this version:
- The BPC now checks the server pool at startup and picks one randomly
- Added 3 new servers, and retasked the idling database server to handle some downloading stuff
- Added the station name to the return route data
- Added a Station combo/filter in the System tab
- CSV imports are now case insensitive for System/Station
- Local mode refreshing delay after an update reduced to 10 seconds
- Added a "Commodity" combo/filter to the main BPC so you can search for runs for just one commodity
- Fixed an unparameterised query

Thanks Slopey... I've only just started and was used to the old pen and paper method (aka C64), this makes things easier for the casual player (and assume the Mogul).
Appreciate the time you're spending on this for people other than yourself.

It's crowdsourced, check the timestamps, and if you find the data is wrong, update it yourself when you get to either end.

Yes, you can - just disable Auto-Updates. But I've added 4 more servers so we should be good for tomorrow. Max tonight was 502 simultaneous users, so hopefully the new setup will cope with that without issue.
I can dynamically add more servers into the mix now anyway, so I can vary resources on the fly. I'll spin up a few more instances just incase I need to drop them in tomorrow/the weekend.
