Benefits of buying beta

Hi all,

When buying the beta the description was:

Beta Now includes a lifetime 25% discount on ship insurance PLUS free access to one of 5 new ship designs post game release.

On the game's full release you also get the Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition, loaded with digital extras:
• A digital download of Elite: Dangerous for PC (and Mac from Spring 2015)
• Your very own Eagle fighter ship docked in a secondary location in-game
• Exclusive pack of ship paint jobs
• A ‘day one’ ship decal
• A digital players guide
• A digital concept art book
• Plus loads more digital goodies to be announced over the coming weeks.
• Plus an automatic permit to visit Sol or anywhere in the Solar system without having to first earn a reputation with The Federation.

I was wondering how/when we are to get these benefits in the full game? Mainly, how can I get one of the 5 new ships (or is it just access to designs/drawings)? Also, how do I get the day 1 decal and the pack of paint jobs (all I have is the skull decal and mercenary paint job on my sidewinder, haven't checked the rest yet). Do I need to wipe my save to get these?

I would also like the digital concept art book, if anyone knows where to download those from.

I will note that since gamma I do have the permits to visit sol, and I believe an eagle was an option as a starting shop (though either an eagle or a sidewinder I believe, not both).

You have both the sidewinder and the eagle. Go to a shipyard, click the third tab. It'll list the eagle and what system it's in. As for the other bonuses, devs haven't said yet to my knowledge. Soon, from what I understand. I wish the mercenary paint job was universal. I love that thing but don't fly a sidewinder.

I'd like to recall reading that they'll try get some of those stuff out within a week. I'm afraid I can't remember the source of that statement, however.

The 5 new ships have not been created / released yet, you will get access to one of them for free (as in no in game credits posted by MB) when that time comes. But no specific time or details have been mentioned as far as I am aware.

I would expect the concept art book to land soon, it will probably be available from here when it becomes available:

Hi fellow commander as far as I'm aware the choice of the five Newly added ships will be available hopefully within the next few months, I don't suggest wiping your save as I'm a premium beta backer and I didn't have to do that. My eagle was at the station it originally placed me in, in 1.00, but my advice is to sell the eagle and get 40,000cr which is a decent start.

The paint job pack has unfortunately finished it was available to order free on the E.D Store by a certain date, sorry can't remember when. I also only have the skull decal and mercenary paint job but I don't know anything about the digital concept art book sorry.

I don't think its a choice of the 5 new ships, its one of the 5 new ships.

If the paint jobs are the free cobra ones that pretty poor. It should have been added automatically for everyone.

Well I imagine they are pretty busy as it is this week but sure whats the rush, plenty of SCing around vainly looking for a fight in the meantime. Not a big fan of all these free ships. The whole point of Elite was to earn the improvements for your ship, or since Frontier: Elite, a new ship. Kickstarters are already starting with an Eagle, Cobra and 40,000 credits which is enough for a Sidewinder. To keep it interesting maxing out sidewinder, then Eagle and so on up the chain of ships. Is there a limit on how many ships we can have at once?

Still, looking forward to new skins, they all look great in game so far.

For those interested, I heard from the support team:

The new ships will be released over time, we are still building them!
Access to the decal should already be in the game (that is the skull decal).
The digital books will be available soon, please look out for an email that will detail how to get these.

The Eagle should already be available. This ship should be able to be located when you look at your galaxy map. This is always available if you start the game again (clearing your save).
