X52 MFD Screen Brightness

I got an X52 a few days ago, its been a while since I used a joystick and they certainly didn't have this many buttons.

I can adjust the LED brightness, but I can't get the MFD screen to change its brightness. I find the blue glow annoying and would like to dim it or turn it off.

There is a slider on the MFD tab in the properties, but this doesn't do anything for me. I've tried a few different drivers and still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

go into the tab where you can adjust the brightness of the MFD and bring the slider all the way to the left. Then unplug the X52 and replug the X52 into the USB slot, that should work. -works for me ;)

Can't believe i didn't try that :eek:

I was trying to find ways to program it.

Everything I could find online was about people screen flickering or outputting funny chars or not lighting up. I thought I had to only functioning MFD screen out there, but I didn't want it to work.

Yes, thanks a lot! This has been annoying me for a while. Neat trick I'd never have thought about doing that :)

I am finding that the LED sliders in the drivers do not control the brightness any more. They used to but when I brought out my X52 for Elite recently they no longer do. Any ideas why?
