Go back to founders world, check which of your new equipment they have in stock (they dont have 6A shields and 5A FSD for example), sell those what they have in stock for a lower price one. Leave the syetem for a mission from the bulletin board or just jumt to somewhere and back. Dock. Buy back your equipment with a lowered price by 10%.
When you sell your equpment the price will be the same as you bought it no matter they have it lower in there. Same with equipment bought there, you can only sell it in other systems on the 10% discounted price. Otherwise people could exploit it.

So just go there and get some of your money back. I did this all the time and it works.

it was only on KS, £150 and above (there were 2,069 of us), although to be honest, i don't know if people could raise their original pledge up to that level on the backer app site afterwards.

as to what it is exactly? wellllllll, let's just say that, that's a bit of a troublesome question at the moment ; )

IIRC I think the £150 let you start at Founder's world, while any backer (even on minimum backing) would get the pass to get in.

I can tell you that I tried to purchase a Type 9 from there today. Didn't give me an error, seemed to accept the purchase but stuck me back in my python. I then sold the python and purchased a viper. That worked just fine. Tried to purchase the type 9 and..... Nothing. Again.

So this issue is still not functioning like it should.

Thrudd, as of my Type 7 purchase on Dec 24, the pricing bug was still there. Regular price of Type 7 was ~17 mil and the discounted price was ~15 mil. I got charged the 17, and the best part is if I try to sell it back, the system "thinks" my ships value is the discounted ~15 mil. I actually hit this bug twice, so the second time I was prepared and took before/after screenshots for the ticket I created. As expected, no response to my ticket over the holidaze. I did not experience the other issue some people have mentioned. My purchase was successful and I received the Type 7 (maybe because I had enough CR to cover the "actual" purchase price?).

Also would like to give a BIG THANKS for your trading site. I use the heck outa that thing!

Tried to buy the Python today using my lakon7 as PX. Wouldn't go. Usual no explanation and advertised python price of 51,280,362. Stupidly I stripped the Lakon and pxd with a sidewinder which it charged full price for hoping it was a Lakon problem as it is a fairly new ship, and a balance of 56,931,780cr. Tried px the sidey for Python, and tried to outright purchase. Not happening. Just a return to shipyard screen and still in sidey. If I buy back the Lakon I will lose about 1.5 mill as soon as it comes online, depreciation, and having worked my ass off for the Python I don't want to do that. So now I have a choice to try working up the sidey to something until I can afford full price for python and will need at least 5 mil for insurance and starting costs. Or go play WoW until the Devs finally decide to answer the ton of tickets on this BUg and either fix it or tell us that the ships are not discounted after all and April 1st came early this year.
I ticketed it, but as of late I seem to be getting no answers for ticket bugs of any sort. OK so it may be due to the holidays but this bug in particular has been ticketed over and over, well before holidays, and so far as I know nobody has had any replies at all.

Oh yes Cmdr Thrudd I too would like to praise you for the work you have done with your trading tool.

Nope. Except the next day I tried to buy the Python again as I knew I was just a few credits short of the full price so I knew it would get rejected, or it would have been fixed, and with the discount I would have nearly 6,000,000 credits and the Python.
Yep I got the Python and they left me with 18,000 credits. So I could risk it and sell off the cargo holds and trade my way back with the small amount of cash I now had by selling them and just keep one and run uninsured. Or I could sell back the Python and get 51,000,000 credits -10% for the supposed discount I didn't get so I would be around 10,000,000 credits worse off.
Well I added it to the on going ticket and told them I hoped and prayed they would make it good if I ran uninsured and the worse happened. Which I did and was exceptionally careful. As soon as I had enough I upped the cargo holds then armed the ship and slowly but surely increased the power, the FSD, the power distributor.
Now I am running insured and with about 400,000credits over the top of a full load if the worst happens. Whew!!! But nothing is forthcoming from FD.

Nope. I raised a couple of tickets relating to this since it causes a couple of problems. Both are still "New". One of the tickets was in the old ticketing system so I must have raised that quite a while ago.

Same here as regards no response to this ticket, but a different ticket regarding Federal Navy advancement problems has been just passed to the Devs. So perhaps now the holidays are over we will see some advancement on this issue over the near future. Give it a few more days to let them catch up the backlog that must have built up over Christmas.

Damn...I wish I'd read this thread before I lost a 100k credits yesterday buying my first type 6. I thought I was getting a nice little bonus but no, left me very little in the bank to trade with. Is it worth a ticket? No-one seems to be getting much of a reply to date?

I see in Patch 1.05 they reckon they have addressed the ship discount problem, but according to M.B.'s reply on the thread they have no plans to refund those who were cheated out of their un-discounted credits. Great company aren't they, NOT.

Indeed. The refund some players when they lose money from game bugs, but not others. Way to go for consistency.

I could moan about not having saved a bunch of creds when I bought my Cobra, Asp, Type 6, or my Python, but I choose not to.
It's a slight overreaction to go in the disloyal/disrepect direction in my opinion, as it would take a huge effort to treat every issue/complain exactly the same - and I prefer that FD spends a little less on support, which leaves more resources to put into development. Resources aren't finite, and I find keeping that in mind is important.

Instead I'm rather happy for those that DO get the discount from now on.
