Obvious troll is obvious, just ignore this ignorant rectal fedora and move on. there are nicer people and less aggravating threads out there, Mods please close this thread down due to "Circular Arguing"please

Because there IS story. Fact that you don't want to accept how it is told is YOUR problem with the game, not FD is to blame for not telling story at all.

Fact is that there is story. It is told in a way FD plans to do story telling in ED. You might find it unacceptable - fine, but stop spreading FUD and lies that there's no story. Because that's not true.

Easy, you'll get a warning (and I have a feeling that all this thread is just for that...)

yeah it is coming. i cant stand it anymore to play unfinished bugged RELEASE games anymore.
i would pay 100 bugs for a game which IS FINISHED WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!!!

Bye. your string of comments on this thread just prove you shouldn't be here, as this isn't the game for you. So sorry mate but you have wasted your money if you expected Star Wars Galaxies story modes with flashy CGI cut scenes and proper voice overs rather than text. This game is about making your own story not following a storyboard that every person who plays the game goes through. Take part, don't take part, use your pilot seat as a toilet, it's upto you, but if you expect standard MMORP in space then I'm afraid your going to be sorely disappointed.

But even with those things in mind, it is moving. It's going in a 'show; don't tell' fashion with in-universe news-feeds and actual events happening at those locations. I heard some people were participating in the fights around the slave systems.

The style of storytelling is much preferred by me than cutscenes and exposition.

Just a lame numbers...lame numbers...no soul!!!!!1

:D It will take some time for this to sink in. People expect lot of spoon fedding when facing story in the game.

Im not sure why you have trouble to see that this "events" are currently the spoon-feeding!

Thats not stuff created or influenced by any background simulation, relation changes or anything players transport, destroy or fullfill. Its just a dev injecting some variables and good with it. Lugh and some other test showed that players cant change the status of a system. Just changing meaningless relation numbers.

So yeah, its not interactive- its staged. And a text adventure.

I literally made near a million credits in maybe four hours in Sorbago last night. There is tons and tons to do. Once we push the Imperial border out past these backwater independent systems we can fuel up the Fed/Imperial conflict. Hopefully by this time next year we will have a full blown war. Then as both sides are war-weary and weak from all the resources expended, when humanity is at it's weakest through conflict.... The Thargoids come

I blame his expectations on all the recent games that launch straight into the action and you finish the game in 10 hours of play. No long build up of tension, moral questions to be answered.

Also, are you aware of what the Elite franchise has benn about historically? It presents you with an open world, where you make the story. Yes this one is a bit different as its an MMO, but they are slowly sowing the seeds of a story through Galnet, and looking to where the players take it. This is not a game you finish in a weekend, its a game we can play for years.

As for bugs, show me one major release in the last 5 years that hasn't needed patches. At leadt FD devs are getting updates out quickly.

Based off what Michael said in the Lugh experiment, they actually tripped the civil war to occur three times however for whatever reason it didn't take. They have supposedly adjusted some variables behind the scenes that I think should make it take if they can cause it to trip again. At least I think it was Michael that said that, as I read through it last night. Here is the link. The Lugh experiment has given me the idea to try and incite a civil war somewhere else. Where at, I don't quite know yet.

If you check his other posts out he allegedly has not been able to play for nearly 2 days as he is claiming to have put in a ticket for the game not loading and is whinging that he has had no response, so how he knows what is happening in game right now is a bit of a mystery to me, this guy really is just looking to stir up trouble for the sake of it.

The Lugh experiment triggered 3 civil wars but due to a bug it didn't become apparent in game, according to Michael this has now been fixed.

Michael then goes on to elaborate a bit as to how player actions will affect the system and surrounding systems.

because i play since beta .-) and since launch for 30 hours .-) you can tell lies as much as you want that there is a story and of working game wihtout bugs.
all no fanboys know whats going on :)

This isn't going to improve - is it?

Not really.

The OP seems adamant on continuing to blame FDEV for not delivering on *his* interpretation of how the story is delivered.
He wants immediate instant action, with no political background, and is not getting it... and blaming FDEV because he doesn't like it.
