You don't like the ORANGE hud? Change it in less than a minute :-)

OMFG.... HONESTLY, the things I would do to satisfy you for posting this. Thank you sooooo much!

Here's my favorite color theme! (Ice Blue, just like my 2013 Mustang GT!)

Thinking of having a go at this myself

Frontier should take note and implement it as an option. I would like different colour schemes for each craft. Red for my bounty hunting ship, blue for exploration asp etc

Something tells me this might be an internal leak.

It was added back in Gamma. Someone found the file, and FDEV have commented on it already, basically saying we can play as much as we want, and that they are working on fine tuning it before adding it into the game, because it's not working as well as it should.

Here's the original post (should have been moved here, would have been nice :))

Why do you think this is possible? :)
FD planned to implement this from the start.
We are now just prematurely messing around with an unfinished feature FD is working on.

I think that this is a feature they intend to add, they just haven't added the in game interface for it yet. If you look at the config that you're editing, it really is easy to manage.

The one flaw I see here is by going monochrome, you're preventing yourself from spotting hostile and allied vessels on your sensors. I'll have to do some tweaking, but my recommendation to commanders in playing is to find a way that "red" and "green" still remain unique in some capacity.

I made that mistake when I first found these options. I was able to make the difference by using different shades of grey (if you're going for a black and white look.)

my first color attempt killed me ^^ I was refueling at a star, an interdiction started, I followed the blue circle..... *WRONG*..... as I inverted some colors, I had to follow the RED one :) SO take care, but once mastered this color change is just great :) :)
Oh and yes, do put differences in the colors.

Compared to real life, changing color could become dangerous: imagine the stop lights on crossroads are inverted.... green gets red, red gets green.... ok you could still work it out on their positions, but, not easy .... :)

I will just stick to the current scheme FD implemented. It is fine tuned to give me the info I need and I am used to it.
Never hated the current color scheme anyway.
I will start fiddling around with it if FD presents us with an official method to do this.

Frontier were very kind...too kind to allow this to be meddled with. People would have paid a small amount in micro transactions for the ability to choose a new hud color scheme.

As it is if they decide they want go and charge they'll look pretty scrooge about it closing the ability ... can't put the genie back in the bottle without grumbling.

This has been out a while and FD are aware and we have had updates since....
Its a Brilliant harmless mod so its unlikely FD will block it...Plus a great tool for anyone Colour Blind that it may actually help...
It only effects the person that uses it but if they implemented it officially it would be a great tool... :)
