Give the DEVS a break - It's nearly Christmas & New Year!

I've not encountered any real game breaking bugs, just player error ... the game plays as I expected it to but then again I wasn't an Alpha, Beta or Gamma supporter :D
STOP COMPLAINING!!!

No one is complaining! Get a job so you understand what the real world is like!

If you haven't encountered game breaking bugs, great. A whole lot of other people have. It's already known that trade, system faction changes and reputation is all broken. These things need to be fixed ASAP. The "stop complaining" attitude doesn't help anything.

Why? It's their job. They should do it

Words fail me. I pretty sure you think they all worked 9-5 and with weekend off the last few weeks.

+1

My work place doesn't give me a break except for Christmas and new years, why should they be so special? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're doing what they're doing... really, I think the OP just doesn't have a job. :D

Being quite experienced in the world of video game development, I can tell you... before Christmas releases most game devs do not have a life.

I hate people with this mentality. No it's not like December is a non-work month for people. This is their job.

Hate is a pretty strong word.

They need to keep their previous pace to get the game breaking bugs fixed ASAP. The game isn't in a state right now that would allow them to take it easy in the coming days.

Actually, there is not much wrong with the game. I have a lot of ---------> FUN <---------- playing it.

Meanwhile, I am quite sure that they have a strategy for keeping things going over the Christmas holiday. But, some of the comments here are worthy of video game industry 'bosses from hell'.

let them take more than just Christmas off, I would like them to take a good month off, relax have some thinking time, then come back, and spend another month slugging out all of the bugs, and then come the time, hit us with a real patch, these band-aids have been nice, but we need more substance, and that takes time, so take the rest of the year off Fdev and come back fresh and ready to win the good fight!

I don't think any of you know how the real world works... Do you think the magical money fairy is going to pay them a salary for your mythical month off?

I believe what will pay their salaries is this amazing thing called sales, which is happening this very second with no input from anyone at their office.....aslong as sales stay steady they should be good for a while.

You have just confirmed my suspicions, thanks. I physically face palmed if you think this is how developers are paid. They have hours just like everyone else.

They should've picked a different job then, instead of making and running a 24/7 online game.

I'm sure they can handle it.

Well if anyone needs a job and wants to do lots of bug fixing over the Christmas holidays, Frontier Developments are hiring

+1 to you OP..

I usually stay in the background of forums sifting through all the chatter to glean the info I need to stay up to date with a brand new (reboot) of a franchise.

I suspect the OP here came up like I did when there were no forums to 'help' bug-test an endevour like we have right in front of us now.

I've been burned before (anyone remember derek smart?) and I just took it in stride as there were alot of choices back then. This is the time frame that spacesims died out.

ED is epic in a spacesim after a dry run of decades. I think I'll hang out for awhile and see what happens.

Elite D and Star Citizen will define how true spacesims will be received in the coming years and I'm not going to contribute to instant gratification needs while this evolves.

Hat's off to you DEV's, keep doin it.
