Wake scanner and supercruise

Hi all.
This is probably a silly question, but I couldn't figure this out.
How can you scan "clouds" in supercruise? The wake scanner isn't active in SC, so i touught you should go near the "cloud" and drop out, but you can't lock the cloud as a destination.
Did someone found a way?

You can. That's all there is to it. Lock onto it and approach just as you would approach a station or USS.

I had the same problem, the cloud was selected, tried deselecting it, tried using the wake scanner. Couldn't lock on to it. My bet is it wasn't you but a periodic bug that happens sometimes.
