I was running smooth as silk for version 1.00.Since two days ago, my dk2 has regular grey flashes on screen while playing Elite (like when you lose positional tracking). Is it my fault (pc or rift) or a software-side bug?

I have similar problems. There is actually a longer thread about it. I reduced it but didn't get rid of it by:
setting the orserver process to "realtime"
stopping all background applications like antivirus, skype etc.
having the rift headset on an usb3 port (the camera is not working on usb3 for me)
I have an AMD 8350 with a gtx 970. As I see it there are two possible causes for tracking interuption: other processes interfering (including ED), and possibly dropouts of the ir leds in the headset due to low usb power (?). I had a problem with my x55 on an usb 2 sending ghost input. It may be the board for the amd cpu has a problem.
