I Feel Robbed!!!

Ok, so I bought a Python before the release date for about 57 million credits. And now I want to sell it. Why the hell does it sell for 51+ million now? Where is my 5+ million gone?
If this is a joke, then why am I not laughing?

<bites tongue>

...but you're also still very very wealthy.

that sucks lol. How is the python anyway? I love them cause they are the best bounty claim targets for my speced out eagle.

That ship is really hard to maintain and run with current "incomes". 100K+ missions are very rare, and i havent seen a bounty larger than 50+ yet, which is very rare as well. And my insuranse alone costs me around 2.5 million right now :(

You expect to get a better sale if there was?

You're in a used-ship. Why would you get the same value back?

Perhaps not exactly the same, but yea, i would expect around the same value -1/-1.5 million but not -5 million. Because credits a stupidly hard to earn.

Resale values on ships are always lower. It is thus in Eve Online, and it is thus in Elite Dangerous. Indeed, as it is in real life.

actually it's the modules that you are losing value on, modules are only worth 90% of new value when sold with the ship.
sell off everything you can (internals/weapons/utility) and replace what can't be sold outright with lower cost equivalent (i.e drive/thrusters/etc)

With modules my Python goes for 56 million. Remove them, and 51 mill is all you are getting. But in shipyard this ship is being sold for 56.7 million without "upgrades".

But with the kind of cash you'll have selling your Python, it's a case of finding a High supply/High Demand route, and earning $$$$$. :)

Good luck!

Oh yea, then why there is no "used ships" market then?
Because spaceship salesmen continued the tradition set by car salesmen of being dodgy and selling old as new to unsuspecting clients!

(No offense intended to any reputable car salesmen! )
