Wear and tear not functioning?

Hi all,
I don't really understand how wear and tear works. I've not repaired for days, have gotten into plenty of fights and flown around in asteroid fields etc. etc., but my wear and tear isn't changing whatsoever. The structural side has never dropped below 100%, and the cosmetic side wont go below 99%. Am I doing something wrong? I want a ratty old space junker

Ok, thankyou Submitted a ticket. I'll try buying a new ship and see if that changes anything; as so far I've only been flying in my freagle.

While we're on the subject of wear and tear, I've yet to find a station that offers repairs!

I just spent 500k fixing wear and tear (from 69% to 100% on my Cobra).

Very expensive. I hope it was worth it.

I didn't get a warning screen before the transaction proceeded. It would have been cheaper to suicide and pay the insurance (300k).

Sounds like you haven't increased the percentage to 100% first

I hear that wear and tear increases with no shields.

yes the one reason tey should increase the insurance cost by a lot

Disagree. It may seem easy when you just do very safe stuff, but some people enjoy doing more dangerous things like PvP. No need to balance the game around people who take the littlest risk.
