well we do got the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy that is currently getting eating by the milkyway,
its tail is looping through our galaxy and i think it could be a interesting addition if we could follow the trail to the main cluster, and a valid way for FD to expand the galaxy

The moment you've explored every system in Elite and I mean actually explored every system, then let's start the request for more space. Lol. Imagine if you spent and average of 5 minutes in every system, times the said to be 400 Billion systems, that would be the following.
400 Billion systems times 5 minutes = 2,000,000,000,000 minutes
2 Trillion minutes divided by 60 = 33,333,333,333 hours
33,333,333,333 divided by 24 = 1,388,888,888 days
1,388,888,888 days divided by 365 = 3,805,175 years
3,805,175 years divided by 1000 (millenia) = 3,804 millenia

Lol. I'd honestly be happy with them just giving us fleet/guild/alliance/social grouping mechanics. That and also fix the damn police, they shouldn't engage someone that isn't a criminal just because that person engaged a member of their faction. Then to have them put over coms, crime detected is a slap in the face. Lol.

A millennium is a 1000 years duration. So it would be 3,805 millennia -or nearly 4 billions years. For perspective, the Earth is though to be "only" 4.54 billions years old.

And 1388 million days spread between seven billion commanders leaves only 4.7 hours to explore the entire galaxy. So even somewhere 60 time larger isn't going to be enough!! OMG! What are we going to do now!?

Best part is when people are serious and actually mean that the universe isn't big enough. Lol. Seen it plenty of times throughout development, so many people complaining that 400b isn't big enough. Though the way you worded it was in a joking way.
I still want to see though the fixes that are needed to social mechanics and the police.
Made a different calculation.
400 Billion systems * 30 seconds minimum time (till you can jump out again) / 31,556,952 seconds per year (including leap year ... that sums up in this range of numbers) = 380,264 Years 314 days 20 hours 51 minutes 12 seconds (and a little) continuous play time ... no breaks included ... (and neglecting the jump time .. but I am sure ED will not need any loading screens 1000 years from now)
Well I'm just over 200 systems in, so... I hope ED are working on expanding the galaxy
