I heard that it has been bugged and ppl have lost their ship or money... Any experiences before I buy there?

Ships are not discounted, just modules.

I suggest before swapping in your current one, that you sell off all the modules first at a different system as you loose 10% of the ship value on a trade in and this also affects the module prices on your ship, essentially loosing you more money. :)

now the question is, would this 10% founders world discount stack with discounts from being allied with the stations controlling faction? that is, if it is possible to earn reputation with the pilots federation as a faction.

The discount applies to the ships as well (well, it did for my 132Mcr Anaconda!).

It surely did apply to my Vulture I bought a few days ago. I think the "loss of money" is a bug from quite a while ago in Beta.

Bought several ships there. No problems. You can not sell them else where and turn a profit though. You sell them at a discounted price too.

I love founders world.... but the only thing i would suggest is, maybe the clipper and the drop ship should not be available there... just for story reasons really.

but it is where my ship yard is.... I decided to give up on leesti and lave!
