Interdiction now near impossible to evade?

Anyone got interdicted, then found out that your blue bar does not fill up even though your escape vector is right on target during the interdiction?

I had that happen to me, and it confused the heck outta me!

I mean c'mon the escape vector was in focus the entire time, and still the bar does not fill up, and I ended up submitting.

Yeah, when lined up it takes much longer for the blue bar to fill up if at all. Just had 3 more interdictions happen to me, all impossible to evade. One was from a harmless Sidey, the interdiction took less than a second, I didn't even have the chance to line up. For the other two the escape vector was all over the place, impossible to do for my ASP.

Seeing a mixed batch of replies in this topic has me wondering why some see no difference, others agree and some even say it has gotten easier...

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one having this issue.
Thanks for the reply hapklaar .

Maybe the issue is to do with network lag?
There was loads of npcs and humans when I encountered my interdiction issue.

The only time I've been successful interdicted is when I'm doing a "sitting fuel scoop" ie SC throttle to zero waiting for the tank to fill. As throttle is zero this results as an immediate interdiction submission.

In gamma, it seemed about 75% you could evade.

Since the recent updates, I have only managed to evade one interdiction (out of about twenty)

Escape vector jumps about faster than it is physically possible to move the controls.

I'm now so bored of it, I just submit, and run (unless it's a sidey / eagle / harmless idiot with no shields)

edit: using black widow HOTAS

Stronger opponents tend to be harder to evade, while easier opponents tend to be weaker with the shieldless Sidewinder being the easiest. Next time you're winning an Interdiction contest with ease, try submitting to see what it is and compare it to the harder interdictions.

I don't agree. I was losing interdictions to all sorts of ships.

I noticed this problem last night, although it might be one of those good problems. I'm used to the blue 'interdiction success' bar practically filling up on its own while I lurch around after the escape target, but last night I was interdicted twice, and found that the bar is more wont to empty itself when I'm not exactly on target and fill very slowly otherwise.

I was using a Viper for a while, and last night's two interdictions were the first in my latest Cobra build.

As an aside, I find that hitting the 'target closest ship' key when being interdicted is a good way to find out who's after you without having to submit.

I continuously manage to evade them regardless if the marker jumps all over the HUD or the NPC successfully interdicted me. I now have it down to an art, where i either evade, or Immediately press tab to inject that thrust after being dragged out of supercruise, combined with erratic escape maneuvers until i can get back into super cruise and then just speed off yawning at them.

4 weeks and still going on strong with out any one of them harming me. A lot of flying hours got me here.

i dont share this vision , maybe its your rank. i like to know this, so far all my interdiction are invaded(comon fd make them harder) since gamma , but after the whines on the forum i have been interdicted about 2 times in roughly 72 hours. tnx guys

Very strange... I'm interdicted at least 5 times an hour when doing a lot of supercruising and for me they are now impossible to evade. It seems some difficulty mechanism is at play here we are not aware of.

I watch the space around me and the HUD navigation screen and any thing flying near me or on my route that isn't friendly i flank.

Since I switched to solo play (for the screenshots) I got my ass handed to me by 3 of 4 NPC's. I've battled 8-9 before and they were all doable, but that was in open play. Do they crank up the NPC's in solo mode to outweigh no danger from players, or was it just bad luck?

I used evade every interdiction and it was starting to become more of an annoyance than a threat.

Since I maxed out my Cobra, I just allow myself to get interdicted and destroy the interdicter! (if that's a word)

I will try to avoid them now to see if I can.

The escape vector definitely seems a lot more jumpy today.

Oddly enough some of these jumpy escape vectors have instead won me the interdiction contest. I guess the interdiction fails automatically if you can get out of your opponent's sights, regardless of who was winning the contest.

It seems like every time the vector decides to jump all the way behind me and I turn hard to spin around and catch it, the interdiction is suddenly evaded with neither bar being full.

Since I got an Imperial Clipper, the interdictions have gone away mostly (strange, that lol). However, the two times I was interdicted it was really hard. To make the blue bar actually go up I had to have it dead centre, two rings was a stalemate and one ring made the red bar go up. Normally 1 bar would be stalemate two would have me win and three would win quickly. Coupled with the crazy shakiness that happened each time (where it keeps going sideways as soon as you get close) and the steep price of even minor hull damage on the IC and I ended up submitting.

Took a brave pill and removed shields and DS off my hauler after I was successfully interdicted and destroyed with ease whilst they where in place, now got 22T cargo hold and reactions like a cat, have managed to avoid 3 other attempted interdictions since

I get interdicted about once, maximum twice an hour (so, it's not so often that it would be annoying) and I manage to evade more than half of the time. Feels very balanced to me.

However, I have experienced some weird interdiction 'bugs':
-about half the time when I am being interdicted successfully, I drop out of supercruise and find myself all alone - no other ship around. Where's the ship that interdicted me? So, I just recharge FSD and carry on. Very odd
-a few times during interdiction the bars have jumped from all blue to all red (or back) within a second. That's not supposed to happen, right?
-once I got stuck in an endless interdiction loop. At first it seemed like I manage to evade - all bars where blue - but I never got the 'Interdiction Evaded' message, After a minute or so of all bars being blue I just gave up and stopped trying to evade. The bars then went all red, but again, nothing happened. I was not pulled out of supercruise. After several minutes of still being stuck in interdiction, I went to the menu and logged out and back in again - problem solved...

Since yesterday it seems I'm no longer able to evade NPC interdictions. It used to be fairly easy, but now the marker jumps all over the place making it an extereme effort to keep pace. I found out submitting and boosting away is now much faster...

Anyone else seeing this? Could this have to do with gaining ranks?

This has happened to me as well before yesterday. To me it just sounds like server lag or a bug...not a pro interdiction. I just assumed this was the case since most of the time I'm pulled out of SC this way there is nothing there waiting for me.
