Newcomer / Intro Stations fire on me

Hello, I am new to Elite Dangerous and just learning the ropes. Last night I had stations fire on me for no apparent reason. When I land at a station I get a "WANTED" warning on the bottom right. I am at a loss as to how I am wanted because I haven't dealt in illegal goods or attacked anyone.

This has happened a few times. I am able to pay the bounty and my name is cleared until a few more trips between stations before the problem happens again.

One time I've been blown to smithereens while exiting, only for insurance to cost nothing to replace my original ship.

Is this right or are there still bugs in the game?

Do you ask for landing clearance prior to landing ?
Do you observe timers for exiting the station / clearing the entrance / loitering ?

You have to land on the correct pad. When you request permission to land, I am assuming you remember to do that? You will be assigned a landing platform. Land anywhere else and you will be attacked after a short warning to move. You will also be attacked if you take to long to land, a problem I suffered early on with regularity. You can get around this one if you are quick enough to request permission to land again.

Well you either A. flying to long over a wrong landing pad.
B. Didn't exit the station within 5 mins. Or entered within 10 or 20 mins
C. Where flying there without any permission to be there. (Either by canceling the request or forgetting.

I have to say I think the loitering on the wrong pad is given far too short a time to respond, and the response totally disproportionate. The first few times I made that mistake I only realised by the time I'd spotted and read the message. By the time I tried to move they had already opened fire on me.

You may have had a fine that you didn't notice and as it had not been paid it has turned into a bounty.
Try going to a platform station instead of a hub and once docked station services check under contacts to see if you have a bounty to clear.

A. What is classified as flying too long over a wrong landing pad?
B. I did exit the station within 5 mins.
C. I did have permission.
