Pfft to the federation!!! I made midshipman in their navy before I saw first hand how they treat their soldiers who wander off track even a little bit when they asked me to kill some of their own leaders...

Now I am unfriendly with them because they disagree with me assisting my allies by supplying slaves for their uses...

All in all play the game how you want to thats what the open environment is all about and its why I like to play open :)
