Bulletin Board is full of bugs!

I'm sitting in a station, browing the BB, and almost every mission I want to do involves delivering goods to the station I'm in! I click "accept" and the mission goes into "deliver" state instantly, but I can never actually
"give cargo" because the cargo never entered my cargo hold...

EDIT: oh, EVERY mission I accept is instantly considered "completed", but I'm incapable of cashing in the reward...

Are you sure what you've accepted aren't "collect" missions—to go and find (within the time limit) and bring back a specified number of a specified cargo for them, that they'll buy at a preferential rate?

It's just a bit quick to create the icon, that's all, but that's a good thing - no hanging around if you accepted the mission because you happen to be sitting on 20T of it already!

I accepted one such mission, but it also enters the "deliver" state instantly and the text suggests I've completed it successfully. Can't give cargo though.

If they tell me to haul 2 slaves from A to B; but those slaves never even enter my ship, then how am I supposed to complete the mission??

You're confused. There are two types of missions (of interest in this case).
1) Where the station asks you to deliver/haul some goods it has in stock for you. goods end up in your cargo as "Haulage" and you need to haul them somewhere else. Those missions have a cylinder and an arrow pointing to the right as an icon.
2) Where you are asked to deliver commodities TO the station in question - you find your own way to get those goods. (Personal Shopper, Frustrated Emplyees, Industrious Citizen etc, even HELP missions). They have two arrows or a hand with + sign on it.

You probably picked up a missions of type 2

I am also confused - I picked up a mission to go out and "find some workers", and the mission summary says I get 45K for delivering 2 SLAVES (no mention of any specific "type" of slave) ... so I race off and find a market that sells "slaves" (Imperial slaves) and I buy 2 (at great expense) and head back to my employer where I get told what a great guy I am for getting the job done and how he has "my cut ready to go" but the only clickable option is to decline - the "GIVE CARGO" button is RED! What exactly have I done wrong, or need to do to complete this mission? I still have the 2 slaves in my ship. The station I'm at has a black market and I "could" sell these slaves for a very modest (pathetic) profit but I prefer the payout for the mission which is a LOT more.

If there are 2 types of slaves I suspect I must have the wrong ones .. if so the f/n mission should stipulate exactly what "type" is required - all it said was they don't want those "non-committed transient types" which to me implies they want the "willing" imperial type which is what I delivered. ???!!!??!

Please help clear this up for me and anyone else as bewildered as I am.

There are two things in the 'Slavery' category in the commodities menu - 'Slaves' and 'Imperial Slaves'. They are different and not interchangeable.

The fact that they have different names makes it clear which one they want.

As you suspected, there are two different types of slaves. The game doesn't generalize, but really means 'non-imperial slaves' when it says 'slaves'.
They are prohibited even in the empire and hard to find. Best chances are in anarchy stations.
