Fed Dropship Requierment Drop

Hi Commanders, my first post, and hope is useful for many, just noticed on shipyard that the fed dropship has no requirement to purchase.
It used to say Ensign or higher rank needed, I am at midshipman and is allowing me to purchase.
Just gotta get another mil to buy lol aint it the way just another mil to go....

I thought Ensign was lower than Midshipman - might be wrong though.

An ensign is an officer's rank in the navy. It's the army equivalent of a 2nd lieutenant.

Last time I saw it, it required "Baron"; I have no idea how high that is in comparison.

Yeah, no rank for clipper but I thought it was due to me getting to baron rank

Baron is the 7th rank in the Empire. Don't know the Federation ranks, I just shoot them anyway.

Imperial is Outsider, Serf, Master, Knight, Lord, Baron, Viscount, Count, Earl... and my promotion missions stopped there for now.

If same drop for Empire then the Clipper might be an option also for me, prob try both out, just gotta keep credits back for upgrades to make them do more...

Now the bigger question, why fly them when you could have a kitted out asp?

They are just bigger, more expensive and give you the same thing with crap jump range in comparison.

Federation ranks go Recruit>Cadet>Midshipman>Petty Officer>Chief Petty Officer>Warrant Officer>Ensign.

I'm fairly sure they flag insufficient credits before insufficient rank, but I haven't tried buying a dropship without meeting the rank requirements yet. I'd suggest filing a ticket.

Yes the price difference between Clipper and Dropship is 13 mil, I have a kitted Asp I fly now, just going through the ships to get a feel... prob keep the asp as well though.
