Where do you all think the players are? Closer to Sol, Achenar, Lave, or Alioth? I'm in bestii right now, good bounty hunting but no assassination missions nor players. I'd really like to face some players, but there are none around. Where are you guys?

LHS3344 the starter system is common, that is open world mode, a lot due to netcode issues are playing solo, so u dont see them, their actions still affect the game world but only on market-political influence etc. Once FD make it a less lag filled experience more will migrate to open world
I haven't had any lag whatsoever since the end of gamma 1. You still are?
tonight there are quite a few pirates hanging around the Polaris system, there are rumors that there will be a heavily laden trader leaving this system soon making its way to Sol.
Yeah, it's sort of a lonely game. I wish there were some congregations for pvp. Most people I've seen are around Sol.

Players are everywhere! just keep moving in between your area systems, you'll slowly know your neighbours. I'm in a pretty unknown zone of the galaxy (60/70lys from Sol), wandering around the same 10 systems and while not seeing any players for hours or even days i then started to see someone here and there and eventually established connections with some of them, "abituals".
Other players are just strangers, they move around. Bounty hunters, honest traders, maybe going to have a long haul 120 lys far from there, or someone just refueling his Orca at the nearby star in the middle of an high class space travel for rich industrials of some corporation..

I'm currently wandering like a bee from system to system until I find somewhere to call home. I got a few criteria:
- Have to be Federation, preferably not too far from the Evil Empire
- My base of operations need be a well populated High-Tech system
- Nearby (+/- 20LY) Extraction and Industry systems with a decent enough population
When I find it, my days as a peaceful harmless trader ends.
Though having played in open since release, I can count on two hands the number of times I've been interdicted, and only one of those times did I fall into N-Space. I did manage to escape though. And as far as getting shot at, I can count that on one hand, all NPCs, and three of them are dead. Myself, not died once. then again, I haven't actively been seeking trouble either. And operated 100-200LY from the busy streets of Sol, Lave and LHS 3443 or whatever my starting place was named.
