Moral and ethical advice please

Wife got me an X52 pro for my pressie. Have her family and mine round. They won't leave. Is it wrong to set up put the headphones on and crack on with setup of the x52?

Don't be a prisoner to social expectations. Be yourself and do what you think is best.

EDIT: Besides, this has nothing to do with morals or ethics, in the worst case it would be considered "rude", but not unethical or immoral.

I'd say wait for the family to leave / things to tone down. You'll enjoy the game better, you'll be able to pay more attention to your flight and chances that you will be interrupted will be slim.

Besides, you won't lose any brownie points with your family.

Yes, it is wrong. Your family should come first, your wife especially. Ignoring them for selfish reasons will likely score you negative rep with the wife. And she likely holds the monopoly over your sex life. Just don't do it, man, not cool! Christmas is family time. You'll get around to playing eventually.

I converted the garage into a man cave. I smoke, and it is the only place I do in the house.
That's why I'm here today posting with the family upstairs.

My advice is to take up smoking.

It allows you up to 15 mins away from the wife kids whenever they do your head in, and as it is my turn to have the family around this year for Xmas dinner so have to deal with them as well.
They drive me nuts.

Smoking. The smart choice for a man with a family.

Who gave it to you? Maybe ask if you can plug it in to try it. Perhaps they'd be keen to watch and then laugh at you when you crash into everything while getting used to it. You know, family bonding and all. :D

Then family came over for Christmas and I can't play for 2 days

i just wanted to at least look at my new ship but didn't even have enough time to buy it

You mean you haven't had that family fight where everyone flounces off in a huff yet? Find a board game, get two moves in, accuse someone of cheating and sit back and watch the fur fly.

I am not seriously advocating this, you can let the kids make the accusations - and they will :D
