When we will be able to check prices/available outfits without landing on station?

It was ok for me for like first 30 hours but now I'm looking for gimballed pulse lasers. I've visited 50 stations, watched 100 times that boring hangar animation (srsly? u can't even check outfits WHEN IN STATION without going to hangar?) and nothing. How much more time I have to waste? 5 hours? 10? JUST TO FIND A WEAPON? Really? In year 3300 you can travel faster than light, read news from thousand light years away, check wanted status in few seconds from across galaxy but you can't check price in nearest station?

It should be something like Trading module with various classess. Better module = better range. Worst will have range about 100-200 Ls, best for example 20 Ly. Wouldn't that be great? And please don't tell me it's not needed BECAUSE IT IS.

Good idea,They had something similar in Frontier where you could buy trade data when in normal space on approach to the station, saved you docking if you were looking for the best prices

I suspect that this might be added in the future as a kind of advanced docking computer ... For a hefty price of course. Dont know why i think that, just seems logical and in keeping with tradition!

there was a button on the galaxy map when hovering/selecting a system to buy trade data, cost 100c, i did it a few times but it did seem strange because you can't see anything to do with trade or modules unless your in the station.

it is an overlooked or deliberately arbitrary time sink.

Its originally a lore thing, probably to do with the machines the original game was on not being capable of it. Theres a paragraph in the Dark Wheel that explains it.

As to whether this will be maintained, who knows?

And calling it elite:Landing and Hanger simulator is a bit weak; or do you call COD a Shooty Bang bang Simulator? Or slate Gran Turismo because all you can do is drive cars round tracks? I mean, you cant even get out of the cars and walk around the paddock in that game? WTH were Polyphony digital thinking to release such a broken game?
