No Human Player "interaction"?

Ok, here is the deal... Well i am enjoying the game and see mass amounts of potential.

Well i bought it for myself and my brother as a gift well only to find out there is really no multiplayer content. as of now it is just really a single player game with other players roaming around.

You cant group together, cant do missions together hell you cant even trade credits between other players. This upsets me tremendously.

What is the deal here? an MMO with no human interaction.

I mean there is an option to form private groups but for what? My bro was hunting a Bounty when it dawned on me even if he found him i could not even help him he would just disappear off of my map.

any updates on multiplayer content?

I guess I just misunderstood the current state of the game, i thought there were groups, player to player trading and multiplayer missions.

nope you didnt misunderstand anything.
the game is promited as mmo, but there is not content for mulitplay except of killing each othert.
early januar you should be able to JUMP together. maybe more. thats it till now

this game will be a MMO in half a year. till then we are beta tester :) and we payed for it isnt that a nice christmas present :)

You already can jump together. You already can go into the same instances, you can support each other.

Next year there's some plans to make it even better, but the basics are already there.

rigth you can jump him after. except if he or she gets interdiceted. then you even dont see the enemy. your friend is dying and YOU CANT HELP HIM

What do you mean? You cant jump together, i mean you can jump to the same system... and go to the same areas... but well ya, that's it. i mean you cant help each other you cannot fight with each other not sure how you can support each other none of what you said makes any sense to me. Sorry I am not trying to be an ass I just thought this was a "multiplayer" game is all.

hell i mean you can even buy paint jobs for your ship that no one not even yourself can even see lol... Honestly if i could i would get a refund.

Yes, you can't help out on an interdiction.

You can help out with missions, with pirate hunting, piracy, many things. The absense of 1 does not equal "no human player interaction"

Line up with your friend, jumping to the same destination, and jump at the same time. You jump together.

Your friend goes into a USS or resource site, or nav beacon.

You target their low energy wake and follow them in.

And YES you can see their paint jobs

if a wake scanner you can jump behind your buddy. so you can hunt together to. yes thats possible,
but only the last shots gets the kill and the bounty. and you cant trade or send people money.
its not a MMO. its a SO.
singleplayer online :)

I guess what i am trying to say here the game has no substance... All you do is fly around.

You can make money but for what? you cant spend it on any assets, as in you cant buy a base or station i mean there is literally nothing to do with your money. What buy new ships to make more money?

As of now it just makes no sense to me. You cant own anything except a ship so whats the point of grinding cash?

at this point the game in its current state is just well in laymen terms boring. And you cant do anything with your accomplishments.

You don't need a wake scanner. You can give other players cargo, and that equates to money.

When I'm pack hunting with friends, we assist with each other's assassination missions, the person with the mission taking the last shot.

It's either multi, or solo as you choose. Sometimes I like to play solo - like now, out 1300 LY from Achenar. Other times I like to play in a group, and the mechanics are in game to let us do it.

this game is a SIMULATION. you dont have any IMAGINATION. set your OWN TARGETS. and write your OWN STORY then this game has a lot of CONTENT:
it is AMAZING:
so if you dont like it go.

Money isn't everything.

Right now I'm 1300 LY out, naming constellations from this region of space, enjoying the sights of the galaxy. Not 2 hours ago I flew through a coronal ejection. Yesterday I found an earth like world. I've piloted through nebulae, been up above the galactic plane to look down on the plane. Travelled out to another spiral arm.

There is an immense quantity to do in this game.

Hell, I've not even bothered getting out of my cobra since I got it a few hours post launch.

Perhaps you need to be less critical of others.

Yup.

I am not trying to play D&D in my living room here.. I am trying to play an "MMO" just missing the MM part.

I mean all they have to do is add a way to track a group member and for that matter add a way to group. (dont give me that garbage private groups, really just ensures you end up in the same instance)

Dont get me wrong i love the simulation part, but c mon it needs more MP content .

If you mean you want rail-roaded quest lines that cast you in the role of the single most important person in the galaxy, then you're not going to find that here.

On the other hand, we've seen a slave rebellion, an attempted revolution in Lugh, moves by imperial players to expand the empire's influence.

I love my multiplayer elite. I'll love it even more when additional support structures are introduced, as Frontier have already announced.

I'm trying to outline to you that playing with friends in a mutually supporting way is already possible. And that it will only get better.
