Sorbago 76% Victory query

Does anyone know how FD calculated the 76% victory in Sorbago? Is it based on kills or missions run?

And if it is on kills, is it purely ones done during combat missions? (So in other words, can I make a difference by rolling up with my Adder and gatting things in a Warzone without a combat mission?)

I believe it was both. Killing ships of opposite faction and running missions (not just trading) from the friendly facton stations increases influence % for that faction. For example if you were against Empire forcing Durius you would do missions for Durius or Help Durius Dominion in conflict areas to increase influence %.

Maybe next time all players participating in the events should write down how much ships they killed
and how many missions they ran.

I recall FD stating that trading influences the outcome of a war heavily.

I also would love to know how many ships in total got squashed,
maybe as a Gal-Net news report.

Alternatively, FD could provide daily faction statistics, even if it is in the form of local new bulletins.

For example in every station in one system could be a local news channel showing events such as

'LHS 331 equality party on brink of civil war'

Ships destroyed in last 24 hrs

LHS 331 -1032
Pro-alliance party - 300
Crimson pirates - 500

etc..

basically some generic local statistics would be nice... but then again i suppose i could just use my imagination!!

I don't get that the empire won, in the last moments of the low intensity warzones being there they were full of rebel ships & no empire ones at all, so how come the empire won?

Any stats on this?

Haven't been there in three days, but I've been getting the same issue before - I was constantly grouped with almost all friendlies (only hostiles were NPCs and when a human CMDR jumped in I didn't realize it for most of the time (I had missed the fact that I was playing open all and neither paid attention to the symbols nor read the names).

Contributed it to my low combat rank (Imperial Earl but harmless in combat stats).

I have the slight impression they just decided it. Else there would be at least some transparancy, no? Do you still have faith in a kind of working "background simulation"??

Player-decisions my rear end... this feels so faked. =/

I think theres a reason that such info is not made available.

I'd be surprised if even 1% of the players read your post here. That is simply not going to happen, too many just play for fun..

Here are the stats:

- Solo players and private groups affect the background simulator for the all group and are unviewable and untouchable.
- Small instances (of a max of 32 players?) will limit how many people you can see in the system. There could be 1,000 players from the all-group alone participating in the fight.

For such a fantastic platform the game has a very limiting multiplayer aspect.

Adrian Steel has summarised the whole issue with the current single universe different participation model. I just hope an adult conversation follows without being derailed by references to 'griefing'. Thanks also to the OP for focusing on this. Hopefully the conversation here will help FD refine their model and further improve this game.

What do you mean by 'the all group'?
I already knew your 2nd point, that wasn't my question ;), my question was why did the empire win when all I could see in the 2 low intensity zones were rebel ships?
