The most beautiful Earth-like world that I've discovered so far

I found this Earth-like planet in a stunning beautiful corner of the galaxy, somewhere within Barnard's loop near the Horsehead Nebula. The space surrounding our own planet is downright dull compared to this!



The orange star that the planet orbits.



The Flame Nebula.



Like Earth, this planet also has a small moon. The Horsehead Nebula in the background.

There may not be big money involved in the exploration business, but when you discover something like this it makes you forget all the thoroughly boring red dwarf systems you had to go through to reach it!

Now if only we had planetary landings...

No. It's over 1000 light years from Sol. I haven't seen anybody else out there!

Any any nascent native civilization there would grow up assuming that their planet swam in some kind of red soup. Just imagine the misconceptions about the universe they might draw from that.

They'd probably think the whole universe is full of the red stuff. That would be a perfectly logical conclusion to draw from visual observations.

YES!, and paying attention to that, if FD were willing to make an alien humanoid race on this planet (fuzzy information from FD on any aliens other than 'Thargoids'); the possible content/missions evolving regarding their misconceptions. Quite 'Star-Trek' like.

But probably only after 'planet landings'.
