Ship repairs

Has anyone noticed this in the repairs option, top right hand corner, normal repairs all option does not clear this!

I have found it builds up and seems to be only repairable in some stations.

It's not a bug, it's the wear and tear of the ship and accumulates the more you use the ship. I think it is only 'repairable' once it has dropped by at least 1%. I think it goes down to 70% hull integrity max.

It's only repairable in stations which can repair as well. It's also pretty stupidly high again. Thought they fixed that.

I just paid 40K Cr to do that repair, the percentage was fairly low but it looks like maybe I should have held off?

Is there any negative affect on the ship in any way letting this integrity fall? Does it affect speed of damage or something like that?

It affects the hull integrity, so makes the ship slightly weaker. They have slowed the rate of wear down a lot since gamma. It still adds up tho, my Clipper costs me 8000c just to sit in a dock overnight.

According to the DDF (and another thread I think in Gamma), the police will be more likely to show an interest in you such as scanning, the same as modern police seem to go for the old bangers (or at least they did when I last drove one).

I believe it may have an effect on missions offered - although I have no experience of this.

I don't think it's implemented. My Cobra/Type-6/Type-7 and ASP have always been 100% wear & Tear. It's only my Clipper that is kept in top spec. Police act the same regardless of what ship I fly.

It's not broken.

That value in the upper right is the ship's internal integrity, which affects the maximum amount of hull you have. Not the same thing as hull integrity, which is what you're thinking of. The internal integrity does not get repaired when you select "repair all," you need to manually do it.

Repairing your ship's hull is a fraction of the cost of the percentage of the ship's value and its damage. The internal integrity seems to be based off of the ship's default purchase value, such that if you were to hypothetically have your internal integrity at zero, repairs to 100 percent would approach the original cost of buying the ship.

I guess the Devs need to be clear what this means in the manual...assuming they haven't done already. All I know is you can clear this in some stations and not others, I have had it down to 70% and cost me over 2k in credits.

The repair option doesn't clear it which does not bother me as easy to check and clear once you know where. If its not a bug however some clarity on how to identify which stations to fix the integrity damage would be nice, as its not just stations with repairs that allow you to fix it, I have identified certain stations that do (Coriolis) and other stations same type that don't.... Hence the post.
