So you confirm that you now gain rep by bounty hunting in major factions space? In gamma I stopped doing this because it cost me an unfriendly rep with the federation which I still haven't recovered from, since then I only hunt in anarchies... it would be nice to know I can now gain some rep hunting in major factions territory.

I've been running a slightly shorter route then that in my Clipper for the past 3 days. Without a doubt I am making over 2mill, I wouldn't fly these routes otherwise. Do you honestly think anyone with a big ship would do rares for under a million and hour? I can make a million every 30 minutes if I convert my ship back to 242T cargo with regular trading.

Rares work out the same as a very good high cargo trade route, the bonus is you can have lower cargo and get to fly interesting routes.

both with 4A FSD.
it really gets boring fast. and the type 6 route took me about 3h to complete one circle - wasnt trying to be very fast though.
just trading gets boring as hell. they should make it more motivating - like trading for "your" station and making it "grow" and prosper....taking different goods to the same station and so on.
but sadly the most profitable way is the most boring one.

has anybody tried to raise the mission rewards with reputation/rank ? as the benefits of raising ur rank and reputation should be more rewarding mission i asume.

Yes. It's been like this since gamma 2.02 I believe. Hand in bounties for all three factions and you'll see blue arrows after a short delay and jumping.

There is nothing interesting about supercruise or hyperjumps. Its the same thing over and over and over again. The planets look the same, stars look the same, stations are the same. Only thing that changes is the names.

I did rare trading with a Cobra till I had enough to get a type 6 with the appropriate upgrades and switched to normal commodity trading. Not spergy enough to know how much I make in an hour though.
